Way to go Kundert
We’ve had our C-70 services by Kundert for a number of years now. As always the service is on point. The diagnoses are always quickly pronounced and the care with which the team handles our car, and me, is exceptional. A special shout out to my valet, Adam, he was gracious and very kind. He was waiting for me when I came to the front of my building to bring me back to pick up my car. Everyone was great. I really appreciate all you do to keep us on the road! Train wreck experience - stay away from Kundert
I purchased an S60 from Kundert as an out of state buyer. From the moment I set foot in the dealership to sign the paperwork and pick up the car, my experience was abysmal and required over 10 phone calls and 20 emails with the dealership to resolve. See a summary below. When signing paperwork, Finance Manager Marc Butofsky attempted to strong-arm me into a higher interest rate than what I had previously qualified for based on my application. There was a clear attempt to breeze over numbers quickly and take advantage of a young buyer and it took 15 minutes of confrontation for Marc to provide me with the lower interest rate for which I had qualified. I then had a nightmarish experience in getting my plates and registration mailed to my out of state address. A week prior to my temporary plate expiration, Sales Manager Ralph Vigorito lied over the phone, stating that my permanent plates were being tracked through the mail and would arrive in time. A few days later, he lies again saying that he has arranged for new extended temporary plates to be sent in time for the expiration date. Neither of these things ever happened, and I later found out that my plates were not even shipped until a day after the temporary plate expiration. Additionally, the day after the plate expiration, Ralph Vigorito guarantees that my permanent plates will arrive by 10 AM the next day and that a signature would be required. I took a half a day off from work to receive this shipment, which did not end up arriving until 9 PM that night (and it turned out that a signature was not even required). As a result of the incompetence of Kundert employees, I missed a half a day of work and was forced to go out and rent a car for 2 days in order to make my commute after my temporary plates expired and before they sent the permanent ones. Direct quote from Ralph Vigorito: "This happens all the time, we usually just pay the tickets for customer's unregistered vehicles." Kundert actually directly advocated me to drive my car illegally in the interim period while they got around to processing my registration paperwork (which they had 30 days to do). To their credit, Erin Kundert graciously agreed to cover my rental transportation costs during the unregistered period, which I greatly appreciated. However, Erin had also agreed over the phone to reimburse in full my motor vehicle fee and did not follow through on this. When I received the check in the mail, the reimbursement was only for a portion of the fee. All told, I spent close to 8 hours of personal time to extract information from this dealership on something that should have been provided to me automatically and without issue. Both Marc and Ralph were confrontational at times and Erin did not fully follow through on her promise to make it right. Unfortunately my family will be looking elsewhere to purchase our 7th Volvo when the time comes.

Like a comedy sitcom
I called Kundert Volvo on Monday, January 28 at 1:30PM to make an appointment for a Synthetic Oil change for a 2009 Volvo XC70. My appointment was confirmed for 8:30AM the next morning, Tuesday, January 29. Upon arrival, I couldn’t find the Service Entrance and ended up in the Parts Department by mistake. I was asked to wait until someone could help me. After being pointed in the right direction, I arrived at the Service Department at 8:45AM. There were four (4) people in front of me waiting to drop off their cars. I waited in line for 30 miutes before speaking with a Service Representative to drop off my car. Mike, the service representative, greeted me kindly and asked for my name. I gave him my name and he couldn’t find the paper work that is usually printed up and placed in a plastic sleeve. He looked for a while in the computer and said he found the appointment, but no paperwork. I explained that I was a new customer and just purchased the car a month ago. I said that I did a google search to find the nearest Volvo Service Center near me and found Kundert. I explained that I was there for a Synthetic Oil Change and also if the mechanic could pull the back wheel off and check to see if the brakes were placed on properly, as I heard a rattling noise and thought it may be the brakes. I filled out all of my personal information to be in the system for faster service for my next visit. I presented two (2) coupons from the website. One was for the $89.95 Synthetic Oil Change and the other was for 10% off of $100 or more for Service. Originally, when I called and made my appointment, I was told I could wait in the waiting room and that it would be an hour or so. I was running late and could not spend anymore time at the shop, so I asked to be called and I would return to retrieve the car. I received a call from Kundert at 3:43PM saying my car was ready and could come and pick it up. I got to the dealership at 4:30PM and was told that the brakes were fine and the noise was coming from the rear shocks, bushings and suspension. I was presented with the invoice and told where to pay. I never usually look at the bill and just pay it. However, I thought the price was a little low and wanted to see how the coupons worked. So, I looked over the bill. I was charged to $136.00 for the mechanic to pull the tire. That’s not so bad, however, the $9.52 for “Customer Pay Environmental Fee for Repair Order” is confusing, as nothing was repaired. I didn’t see the charge for the synthetic oil change. So, I returned to the Service counter and asked Mike if he forgot to put it on the bill. He called the Mechanic and then let me know that he accidently forgot to ask for the Synthetic Oil Change. He asked if I could leave the vehicle again and he would have it changed first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, I had to be in Scranton, PA at 9:00am. He did give my Synthetic Oil Change coupon back and said that I can use it on my next visit. I go back to the cashier to pay my bill and asked the cashier if the 10% coupon was used on the invoice of $145.52 plus tax for the mechanic to look at the brakes. It was not. So, I had to go back to the Service Counter and ask Mike to have the coupon applied, then return to the cashier to pay $140.66. I have a tough time accepting going to a Service Center for an oil change and paying money for not getting what I came in for. This morning, while in Scranton, I receive a text message from phone number 973-978-0892 from Kundert asking to call prior to answering a survey from Volvo to rectify any of my concerns. This text message is strange to me. I’m not sure of its purpose. It seems to acknowledge that there were some opportunities missed. It also places me in an awkward position. I certainly don’t want to get anyone into trouble. Everyone has one of those days where nothing goes right. Hopefully, you find out went wrong, fix it and move forward. I've reached out to Bill, Kundert Volvo's Service Director at Hasbrouck Heights, but have not heard back from them. I'm just thankful that I was able to experience Kundert's Service on a very small scale and not for a major repair where competency and regard for the customer are definitely needed.

Hey Ronald, Sorry for the delayed response. I do apologize for the inconveniences during your first visit here at Kundert Volvo. We do always strive to provide our customer with the excellent service they all deserve. Unfortunately some days people do have off days and I appreciate your understanding of that but I do think when it happens it is our job to not let our customers know we are having a bad/off day. Due to your subpar first visit here, I would like to enroll you in our Driver Rewards Program at no cost (normally it is $59.95). This program entitles you to loaner vehicles, additional coupons and our reward points which are earned when you service your vehicle here. Here is a link to full list of benefits. https://www.volvoofhasbrouckheights.com/kundert-volvo-driver-rewards.htm. I will definitely discuss your issue with both Mike, the Service Advisor, and Mike, the Service Manager, to see where our process went array. I would also like to extend the 10% off coupon back to you as well for a future service visit. I did see the recommendations they gave during the visit for both rear shocks and bushing. I would also like to extend you a 20% offer if you like to have that work done here as well. The text message you received after your visit is just a follow up we like to do to gather feedback from our customers on their experiences or to see if they have any outstanding issues that still needed to be addressed. I do hope you decide to give Kundert Volvo another shot as we are your local dealer and we would love to have you as a lifelong customer! If you have any other questions or concerns please do not hesitate in reaching out to me directly and I would be more than happy to help or discuss this further with you. Drive Safe! Great Experience
The entire car buying process was easy and pleasant. Bernie at Kundert made everything easy. He was straight forward and easy to speak with. I appreciated the time he gave me to think about the decision instead of trying to force the purchase like other dealerships.

2019 Volvo
Mr. Cruz was professional and very in tune to what my needs were in leasing a new car. He knew exactly what I wanted and he delivered on all counts. This was my second lease with Mr. Cruz and he treated my wife and I like a member of his family. We dealt with a friend not just a salesperson. I would recommend him and Kundert Volvo to anyone looking for a new car and a great deal.
