This dealership has the most incredible staff!!! Everyone was so nice!!! Very smart personnel, very kind, very knowledgeable a pleasure to work with my salesman went above and beyond the call of duty to explain every detail to me perfectly so that there would be no doubt at all when I purchased my brand new BMW he was a joy to work with. I will definitely buy another car from Santa Monica BMW.!!! The gentleman in the office who took care of the paperwork was very knowledgeable also and very kind and very easy to work with!!! I even talked to the owner who was extremely kind and extremely knowledgeable and just a joy to speak with everyone from the owner to the Salesman to the gentleman who does the paperwork made me feel so ease buying this brand new BMW it was a pleasure to work with them!!! I brought my car in for routine periodic service (oil

I brought my car in for routine periodic service (oil change, brake fluid). As part of the inspection during service the dealership noticed that my rear tires were low on tread, one significantly so. They did not contact me about this while my car was at the dealership for service; I only learned this when I read the inspection report picking up my car late afternoon. When I spoke with the service manager about this, he said he would look into it, take care of the situation, gave me his card and would get back to me. He didn’t get back to me, I followed up and he still didn’t get back to me. Every other car I have owned, from luxury and non-luxury manufacturers, I have always had serviced at dealers in Santa Monica for those manufacturers. At all other dealers I have always gotten at least one phone call - usually more than one - when my car is in for service and recommended or essential work comes up in the inspection so it can be taken care of while my car is already in service. This is the first time I was not called about work that should have been or needed to be done, and the first time I have been disregarded by a dealership in this manner. We are a busy family (5 drivers, 3 cars), so to be down a car for a day is a big deal. To be down a car for a day when it should not have been necessary, for me to have to take another day away from the office when it should not have been necessary, that is a bigger deal. For a dealership and manufacturer who does not provide loaner cars, who does not even provide free local transportation like non-luxury dealerships provide, it is unreasonable that I will have to bring my car back somewhere to get my rear tire(s) replaced on a different day than when my car was originally in for service. I can assure you I will not be bringing my car back to this dealership for this purpose, or for any other purpose voluntarily. I am extremely disappointed in this dealership and in BMW for their non-response to my concerns.

Installed incorrect oil filter in my BMW, caused major

Installed incorrect oil filter in my BMW, caused major problems. I made it three miles before I had to shut my car off. I waited an hour in a parking lot for them to send a service foreman. Once he arrived, he discovered the problem and said it was glaringly obvious. I called the Head of Service multiple times before connecting (never received a call back). There was no accountability. No offer to make it right, no offer to check my car for damage. They just said sorry it was human error. I will never return to this dealership - the lack of actual service was appalling.

best bmw dealership!

best bmw dealership!! All the service people there are realy nice and helpful! Danny, the service manager is awesome!! (I go in quite a bit because I have an old bmw.) Not to mention they are ethical and can be trusted. Danny keeps telling me not to put any more money into my very OLD bmw! LOL now that's honest! I had gone to a independant (cheaper) mechanic and he tried to sell me brakes. When I went to SM BMW, they said I don't need brakes! For me, finding a mechanic that you can trust is a lot, these days.

Danny the kind, thoughtful service manager is always

Danny the kind, thoughtful service manager is always available & runs an efficient, supportive team seamlessly. Cesar is also a gem! Long term team members; Cristal, Lando & Ramon make sure my visit is comfortable, taking time to explain what's needed, whether air in the tires or the need to escalate service with new parts. Everyone I have interacted with at Santa Monica BMW has made the experience welcoming for the last several decades.

horrible below average service.

horrible below average service. no follow up from service advisors. the owner does not care at all but customers do, and this place is horrible no follow up recommend services not needed (at exorbitant prices)
