I had a great experience with Barber Honda. I went in while shopping around for an electric vehicle lease and walked out with a Prologue. Neil on the sales team was fantastic, I gave him the budget I was working with and he put in a lot of work to create a deal I was happy with.

Terrible Service.
Terrible Service. I went in for an oil change and inspection and they told me after i paid they couldn't check the battery as it was after market, or the rear brake pads because they would have to take the tires off and that would be extra. They didn't bother to check the air filters or spare tire. Will be speaking to the manager next week. Will never go there again and would not recommend. 1 star is too high a rating.

Made an appointment over the phone to get recall taken
Made an appointment over the phone to get recall taken care of, was told it will take about an hour to do. Have to travel approximately 1 1/2 hours to get there. Got there early, checked in and was told it’ll be all day because there were appointments ahead of me. When asked why did I have to make an appointment if they have others scheduled ahead of me, they told me the appointment is with the service representative, not the mechanic. The service representative isn’t going to do the work. That doesn’t make any sense. Being disabled, the fact I would be sitting around all day there did not appeal to me. So because of their poor communication, I had to leave without getting the repairs done. Paul Nelson

Today August 7, the smog testing facility I took my 2020
Today August 7, the smog testing facility I took my 2020 CRV car to informed me they were unable to communicate with the vehicle. They suggested taking it to a Honda dealer. I contacted Barber Honda's service department to schedule an appointment. I was told if I come in without an appointment, the car would sit there for 1-1/2 weeks. The first available appointment is in September. I explained that CA DMV requires the vehicle to be registered within 20 days. So that timelime doesn't work. The service response remained the same; bring it in or wait until September. Since this was totally unacceptable, I asked to speak with the service manager. I was transfer to voice mail. Never received a call back. If this is the type of service I can expect from this unsatisfactory Honda dealer, then I should just get rid of this SUV even though I have owned several Hondas over the years. As a side note, Visalia Honda could get me in August 22. Auto Nation Honda Valencia scheduled me for this Thursday, August 10. Both are a 1-1/2 hour drive each way.

Don't buy Honda! AC went out refuses to fix
As much as I hate posting my personal life online, this needs to be known to the general public. I have owned multiple Honda vehicles in the past and never experienced any mechanical or technological failures. We owned a 2014 White Honda Accord, a 2013 Black Honda Accord Sport and recently upgraded to a 2020 Pilot SUV as my family grew. We paid cash and in full to avoid payments. HUGE mistake! My AC stopped working in March and it is now July with no AC. We have been given the run around since March after the diagnostic as the "part" needed is non-existent or backordered. Not sure what to believe now. We live in the valley, where it gets over 100°+ degrees. HOT! This is my only transportation and have been driving myself and my toddler to work and daycare everyday! I am extremely upset as when I try to bring up my concerns to Honda in Bakersfield, CA, including to my warranty company, my concerns are not resolved. I do not need validation or a 5 day car rental when its been clearly 3 months now. I need my vehicle's AC fixed asap or be provided with my refund or minimum an exchange. This is my only transportation. I have never made complaints and usually very understanding but this has gone way too long. March to Now, and the part needed is not in yet and I keep getting the run-around. Horrible customer service on top of my hot xxxxty brand new SUV. Oh and NOT to mention that I was confirmed for May 26, 2023 @ 10:00 AM to finally get it fixed. I took a day off from work, I show up and wait 2 hours patiently & excited thinking I am finally getting my AC fixed. 2 hours later they informed me that the part is not in AGAIN. After sitting there for 2 hours and missing work? Why bother confirming with me? I REGRET paying it off. A new car, minimum, the AC should be working. I have not been offered any reasonable solutions besides "it is under warranty" but warranty is worthless and Honda is not helpful at all. Have you tried driving around in this Heat wave with No AC? I can easily take my car to get fixed elsewhere but warranty already warned me that they will not cover any future failures. BUT can't even fix this problem.. smh...Horrible customer service. NEVER again will I purchase from Honda. **I Do not recommend.

I don’t know how this/these mechanics get away with and
I don’t know how this/these mechanics get away with and keep their positions when the crap work they do is so in your face don’t care attitude bad. Bad, Bad, Bad I say. They had to take liner down to replace sunroof motor. Kept car for 3/4 days. When ready I got inside and the liner wasn’t tucked in a few spots and dirty greasy finger prints all around the liner. Was told bring back following week when “specialist works. When drove off noticed driver seat all the way down not just fwrd. All mirrors reset for an obvious short person and 1/4 tank gas gone. Took back the next Thursday; waited for repair and still headliner was not tucked properly. Was told that’s as good as it gets. So to heck with it I said. Obviously they don’t care. Then as driving the passenger visor just fell down. Wires showing and all. Had to pull over to stick back up so it wasn’t flopping around. Then when I went into trunk next day it was obvious they got in there because there was trash I’ve never seen and spare tire cover had junk coming out. Why would they need to go into my spare tire compartment. I have a bad feeling about what they did with my car. Why gas missing. Why spare compartment been tampered with? Why all mirrors adjusted along with drivers seat but not passengers seat? SMFH BECAUSE WHAT ARE WE CUSTOMERS SUPPOSED TO DO????? I will never electively go back to that place again.
