I am not sure what all the negative reviews are about.

I am not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I bought my second vehicle from them this year for a reason. They were reasonable about price the first time and the second time, they were easy to work with and the transactions were quick both times, they were not pushy about sales in the finance office both times, the salesman (John Lucas), sales managers, and even the GM were transparent, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. The first vehicle I got was a new vehicle and I had a vehicle to trade in. Everything went great. A few days after I bought the vehicle and was washing it, I noticed what I thought was a paint flaw on the roof of my truck. I contacted them and they promised to get it taken care of. Their detailer gave it a light go (staying within his means and making sure h didn't mess up the paint) but made no progress. Then they put me in contact with their paint/body professional. Weeks later, when I finally had the time, that gentleman took care of the paint issue which turned out to be some adhesive residue left over from the protection Ford used during shipping. They held true to their word and it went easier/better than anything I have ever experienced with a dealer in my life. I am not sure what is going on with all the negative reviews. Honestly, I think they may be some people who had bad experiences for whatever reason along with others trolling the dealership. I did not have a moment I would even consider average with them. Every experience I have had with them has been great! Buy with confidence in my opinion. I highly recommend John Lucas at Malloy Ford for both new and used vehicles. We bought one new and one used through him and it was a great experience.

I contacted Malloy Ford via their website about a new

I contacted Malloy Ford via their website about a new Ford. Their published price and discount were very competitive. Unfortunately, the salesperson that contacted me confirmed that the price was a bit misleading. They told me that all cars on the lot have RESISTALL (mop and glow garbage) applied to them at a cost of $1395. Very disappointing! There is no mention of this mandatory add on anywhere on the website. Malloy Ford wasted my time and their time. I'm rating the dealership 1 star and the salesperson that I talked to 3 stars - I don't know where the deception lies but I will give the person the benefit of the doubt and assume they told me the truth about the dealership policy.

My 2014 Mustang with 19,500 miles was diagnosed by Malloy

My 2014 Mustang with 19,500 miles was diagnosed by Malloy Ford of Charlottesville, VA with a bad clutch and pressure plate. The car sat in service for two months waiting for clutch parts. I had to initiate all calls and chase down the service people to get any kind of status. Gave up on Malloy Ford and just came in to pick up car as is. It ended up that a brake/clutch fluid change corrected the clutch issue and prevented a $3200 replacement. Don’t know if Malloy Ford is dishonest or just inattentive. Either way I will never again set foot in Malloy Ford. I was going to sell the 2014 Mustang and buy a new 2025 GT Mustang but don’t want to run a new car all the way to the Richmond Ford dealer for factory service. This experience soured me on Ford and won’t ever be back.

Malloy Service diagnosed my 2007 Mustang with a bad PCM

Malloy Service diagnosed my 2007 Mustang with a bad PCM and wanted $2,200 to replace it. I sent the PCM toa diagnostic shop in Herndon and was told that it was good. I took the car to a local shop and they replaced two relays. Malloy Service is a ripoff.

A few months back I took my car to MALLOY FORD for a recall and to fix my back up camera which was under warranty. When I got the car back they told me my brakes wouldn’t pass inspection and they could do them for $1600. I balked at that. They then said they could work on the two that needed it for $400 something each. I told them I would talk to my mechanic. I went to Charlottesville Tire & Auot. He just rolled his eyes and said I probably don’t need them and they offer a package deal for $400 something. Today I had my annual inspection. They said I only need front brake pads. So inspection, oil change and both brake pads cost $371. I never hear good stories at Malloy. Something to remember.

Good experience.

Good experience. Young sales professional named Hosain was very nice very helpful. Finance dude was archetypal used car guy--loud kind of obnoxious. Got good deal on low mile Edge. Very nice car. Offered me $4k for my F150. Sold it myself week later for $8.5k. That was kind of offensive that they only offered me a low ball offer.

Horrible.

Horrible. I would give zero stars if this site would let me. We went in to order a Maverick. We had already built it out on the Ford website and knew exactly what we wanted. Got through the whole order process with the salesman and told no deposit was necessary because there was nothing that would make it hard for them to sell. We signed the order and were told to check back after a few weeks to see if a VIN had been issued. Called after three weeks and was told there was no order, their system had a note that we “still deciding.” Went back to the dealership and got no explanation, just a lot of shoulder shrugs and maybe a mysterious “someone” shredded the paperwork. We could start the process over. They very much did not care. The new car sales manager magically came up with a Customer Order Verification Program confirmation email and said everything was taken care of. Silly them, they had just misplaced the file. A week later a different sales person called to see if we were ready to come in and put a deposit down and order the vehicle. We called the COVP folks directly and they said the order number given to us was for a transit van that the dealer had canceled. They never ordered our truck, either time. And the sales manager evidently fabricated a false order verification document, probably just to get rid of me. We would have been waiting 4 to 6 months for a vehicle that wasn’t coming. No one at Malloy acted like they cared even a little. Don’t trust them! Don’t buy from them! They had no interest or intention to complete a sale they didn’t even have to work for. The person at COVP tracked down two Mavericks that fit our order and said we could have one transferred and we told him maybe, but not to Malloy and he even said “I don’t blame you.”

Extremely disappointed in the service provided.

Extremely disappointed in the service provided. My fiance brought my vehicle in several weeks ago for a check engine light on. Dealership stated that the purge solenoid needed replacing and they would order the part. Several weeks of no contact, we have to chase them down to get an answer as to when the part is in. Once it finally WAS in (a month later), we scheduled an appointment for 8:30 as we were told the work would take 3 hours for the replacement plus a state inspection. Bear in mind, the dealership claimed to have completed a multi-point inspection at the first visit, and listed every item as "passed." The day of our appointment, the work still isn't completed at 2PM, and we're informed that it will fail state inspection unless the windshield wipers are replaced and ALL FOUR brake pads and rotors are "resurfaced" to the tune of another $800. This after ANOTHER "multi-point inspection" in which those items are listed as "passed." Either neither of the multi-point inspections were completed, or the standards they set for passing are not actually road-worthy - or the work didn't need done at all, but they'd like another $800. Absolutely not, we'll take our money elsewhere, thanks.

My friend from Tucson drove cross-country to

My friend from Tucson drove cross-country to Charlottesville in September. Her air conditioner broke and she insisted on going to Malloy Ford. She got an oil change and tire rotation as well as an estimate to repair her AC. They charged her $285.00!!!!! MY mechanic charges $39.95 for an oil change and tire rotation. My friend was charged a $185.00 fee just for an estimate!!! Their estimate to repair the AC was $2,400+ and there is a 3% "processing fee" charged if she pays with a credit card! I am glad she waited to return to HER Ford dealer in Tucson. Tucson Ford repaired her AC for less than $1,000.00. MALLOY FORD IS A MAJOR RIP OFF. Avoid taking anything to them!!!! DON'T TRUST ANYONE AT MALLOY FORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!
