Terrible response to an on-going charging issue

We were told that the new C40 EV car would charge at a fast charger at 150 KWH and about 35 minutes from 20-80%. Our car has averaged 50KWH and 1-1.5 hours sitting at a fast charger. We've called and asked about this and they tell us there's no problem. We've had the car serviced for this problem and they tell us nothing was found and that's the way this car charges. It's a pricy car to be sitting at fast chargers for hours at a time making this car unsuitable for any trips longer than 50 miles in distance and expect to get home without sitting at a charger for over an hour. Their service department is doing nothing for us. Not what we should have to manage for a car that we spent almost $70,000 for. Unacceptable. Don't buy this car or go to this unresponsive dealership. Either Volvo is lying about the charging of this car or Bernardi doesn't want to fix the car of know how to fix the car.

Quality is going down and down with every visit.

Once moved from Wellesley to Natick, overall quality went down significantly. Anything beyond standard service is a nightmare. Repairs where you have to bring vehicle back, charges for”free” loaner appear on your without any notice. When talking to service managers, it’s like talking with 1-800 number, the only thing that’s clear is that they value me as a customer just don’t want to do anything about it :).

Very Rude Service Associate

Chris, one of their sales associates should be fired. He was very rude to me when he explained the services performed on my car. He yelled at me. He went further to falsely accuse me of being "aggressive" and "fighting" with him. On the contrary, I was cordial when I explained the condition of my car to him. Additionally, my car is in worse shape after the service. While I can pair my phone with the car and make calls using the central console, I can longer play music or connect Goggle Map to the car.

Poor professionalism over email

I understand that you’re trying to close deals. This year was tough for the car industry but that isn’t an excuse for you to treat customers with a lack of professionalism and unleash your frustrations on them. The type of communication I have over email and text is an embarrassment to all sales professionals. If you want a reassuring, comfortable and pleasant car buying experience and don’t want to pull your hair out, I recommend not going with Bernardi of Natick. P.S. it may also be good if you didn’t respond to all your clients with an all caps email when they decline to add additional pre paid service warranties, it is a choice on the customers side.

Repairs

Extremely expensive. I got my trunk repaired at the dealership only to find that I could have got it done for half the price. The labor price is outrageous.

Used car purchased

Registration, insurance, and inspection were not ready when pickup. Salesperson was taking care of another customer when pickup was scheduled. No one walkthrough the car when pickup.

Awful customer service and not safe cars

We purchased a certified pre-owned XC90 from Bernardi Volvo Wellesley/Natick and to say it has been a disaster would be a gross understatement. Almost immediately we began having a significant engine problem - meaning the car at times will abruptly stop, shut off, and not start again for a period of at least 10 minutes - now with 2 young children in the car we believe most people would agree this is a significant issue. What we have come to realize after this car has been in for the same issue 5 times in just over a year, is that Volvo corporate along with Bernardi truly do not care about the safety of our family as the narrative continues to be "take your car back, we fixed it". We have now refused to take the car back not only for the safety of our own family but for the safety of all drivers on the road given this issue could cause a serious multi-vehicle accident. Upon doing so there has been zero support from either the dealership or Volvo itself, just a giant game of passing the blame back and forth with no acceptable solution. Please beware for anyone out there considering purchasing a Volvo or for current owners, this company, as well as Bernardi, does not care about your safety.

Great experience

I had been doing research and looking for a specific car for a while. I found the car that I wanted at the Wellesley Volvo dealership and drove out from western MA. I setup the appointment and was introduced to Josh Van Der Weide when I arrived. Josh was very professional and respectful throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great car buying experience. I’m very happy with my XC60!
