Spoke with a sales person at this dealership yesterday

Spoke with a sales person at this dealership yesterday about a truck that was available. Was told it was available. Called again as I was leaving work to confirm I would be there in 30 minutes to look at the truck and buy it, was told it was available. Upon arrival, they took my keys to run the appraisal, made me sit around for 30 minutes, and then came back and told me that the truck had just miraculously sold 15 minutes before I got there somehow. They then proceeded to try to hard sell me on trucks that were not the same or as good of a deal as the one I had gone in to look at. I'm not convinced that the truck I went to buy even exists, because I did not see it in the lot when I got there, and they did not offer to show it to me or anything, just said it had sold. This is the second time a Toyota dealership in Houston has done this to me in the last few weeks, so I'm starting to think this is just a tactic they use to get people in. They tried to hard sell me on a new truck instead, which I wasn't interested in. All around, another bad experience with another bad Toyota dealership in Houston. I cannot stand these dealerships wasting my time. They also appraised my car at $10k below what KBB says the trade-in value is. Shady dealership. Beware.

It’s very disappointing that I have to write this Joe Myers Toyota advertised a base price $18,997.00 and I was working with a sale rep Kody Harmouch and was told that was the price no worries after trusting Joe Myers Toyota to take care of a Veteran. I was over charged $4,739.63 and never told of the overage. I have reach out to Joe Myers Toyota and also left Messages for Scott Michael and the GM Lance Lewis to please help! And to Honor the Price I have a picture of the car and price.. This is really a shame to take advantage of a Veteran..

Joe Myers Toyota Service scratched and damaged by brand

Joe Myers Toyota Service scratched and damaged by brand new clear tint. My wife went in for first 5000 mile Toyotacare maintenance service on our new Rav4 Prime. Somehow one of the service techs scratched up the top left corner of my front windshield. I had a clear ceramic on the front windshield. Joe Myers Toyota service said they would correct the issue. However, they kept making comments about it being illegal. However, we made sure to only install legal clear ceramic tint on the front windshield. They finally agreed to let us have the tint shop who originally installed it re-do the front windshield. They contacted the place and got the invoice amount and said they would send us the amount. This took over a month of back and forth before they finally agreed to this. Then I was told a check was sent but it was never received. I even asked them to send it using tracking but they refused. I let them know I did not receive it over a week after they said it was sent. However, they ignored me after that. They did not cancel the check and re-send a new one. They never responded after. I never received the check they claimed to have sent.

I agree with other customers.

I agree with other customers. Please be very careful. Never ever buy a car from Toyota of Katy. This dealer is asking insane markups in middle of recessionary times. You expect a fair price but this dealer is adding all sort of fake markups like market adjustment fee. I dealt with Rodney Feltus.

They will LIE to you!!

I normally don’t write reviews, but EVERYONE should know how they treat people here. They will try to rip you off …plain and simple. We came here looking for a deal on a corolla. The salesmen did the usual I’m your best friend act and everything was going smoothly until we got to talking numbers. They tried to add a 3,000$ ADD ON to the internet price. I simply told him I wasn’t paying them that much for something that should be included in the price. This is a simple bait-and-switch tactic and you should not be afraid to walk away. We went back and forth until we decided they were wasting our time and we needed to leave. Always watch the total price of the vehicle! They tried to move the markup around into different spots to confuse us, which simply did not work. As we were leaving the director himself stopped and offered us the deal we wanted just to keep us from going to look for the other vehicle at another dealership. I told them I was still going to explore my other options but would come back if the deal was the best option. We went to the other dealership and came to the conclusion that Joe myers had given us the best deal, so we called back and confirmed the agreed price before heading back. This is where it gets UGLY! We came back expecting everything to be simple, but that was not even close to what happened. They lied and jumped the price back up to where we started! They thought we were stuck and didn’t have any other options. Our salesman Rohan lied to us to get us back in the door and even had the nerve to call us liars because the director didn’t sign the paper that HE wrote the price on! To be noted both were present when the director wrote the deal. We called the director to come to confirm the price and he then disagreed with the price that we had confirmed before we came back! At this point, we simply got up and left and went right back to other dealership which was HONEST, and gave them our business. As I am writing this Joe Myers called me back asking if I had got the other car hahaha! I simply told them yes and I’m very happy with it and hung up. If you value your time and good quality service STAY AWAY AT ALL COST.

In January 2, 2023, I had appointment with this dealership, before going to buy RAV4, He told me it is available, but when I arrived he told me it is sold tosomeone else and if you want we can reserve for you next tow week. The lost my time, It is not professional sales manner. I am telling everybody, this dealership is lying in my case, It will be happen on your case.

I came in to Joe Myers Toyota for a scheduled oil change

I came in to Joe Myers Toyota for a scheduled oil change for my 2021 rav4 with 15K mile on it. They tried to push 6 more services that are not needed. After I declined and the oil change was done, I got in the car there were 3 warning lights on. They took it back and said the front camera is out of calibration and they may not be able to fix it and wanted me to come back. This rav4 was perfectly fine with no issue and no warning light on and now after coming in there were so many things wrong that I can’t even describe. I’ll be stuck dealing with all the issues even if they should be under warranty…. I am going to go to another dealership to check it next week to see if they can find out the problems. Needless to say I suspect they did something to make some problems so they can fix and make more money. So be careful with Joe Myers Toyota dealership.

Never purchase an extended warranty from Toyota.

Never purchase an extended warranty from Toyota. It does not cover anything. My car idles rough, has shut off while idling, smells like gas and not only do they claim nothing is wrong they charge $165 to tell you nothing is wrong. Save your money on the warranty so you have money for the mechanic. Expect issues at 70k miles.
