A Wonderful Experience

I had a wonderful experience at Van Horn Hyundai in Fond du Lac. Everyone was super friendly and worked really well with me to find what I was looking for. The GM Tom was super helpful at helping me reach my price range and get me to my goal along with my wonderful salesman Erik. Erik was super patient and helped me in every way to find exactly what I was looking for. He knew right where to look and did not push me into something that was not my style, did not include my must haves, or something out of my price range. He guided me in the right direction. I am super picky and needed certain things and he helped me find it! I could not have asked for a better person to work with. I found a car that fit my needs and purchased it. The process went quickly once I found my car and moved forward on it. Erik was able to answer all my questions about the car and helped me understand everything about it. I am glad to have worked with him and will definitely use him again for future vehicles.

When I went looking for a decent used vehicle I had no...

When I went looking for a decent used vehicle I had no idea where to go or what to see....My son took me around to a 3 or 4 different dealerships to see what was out there...Van Horn Hyundai was one of those places....I met Kevin Miller and that was last place I looked....He was very helpful, extremely courteous and friendly, and was quite knowledgeable about the vehicles I was interested in....He went out of his way to find the right one for me and had it delivered to the his lot for me....He had me drive it around to get the feel of it....Answered all my questions about it (was a newer model and I had no idea of all the bells and whistles it came with) and he worked with me to get the price I was comfortable with...I purchased a 2012 Ford Escape and I am very happy with it....I would go back to him if I decide to get another vehicle...And would send any of my family or friends to him if they are in the market for a new or used vehicle....He made this whole experience very easy for me...... Kevin answered all of my questions before and after the...

Kevin answered all of my questions before and after the sale. He went through all of the car's features when I picked it up. He called later to see if I was enjoying the car and if I had any questions. He is a real gem.

We were in the market for a new vehicle and Kevin Miller...

We were in the market for a new vehicle and Kevin Miller helped us narrow our choices down over the phone and online. He was very patient as we picked out the vehicles that we were interested in. He set up a test drive for us and we loved the new Santa fe. Kevin had all of our paperwork completed very quickly and handled our deal professionally and competently. I also need to give Kayla some credit because she helped entertain our 3 year old daughter while we were buying our vehicle. Based on our overall experience, I would recommend Kevin, Kayla, and this dealer to anyone who is in the market for a vehicle.

Best place to buy a vehicle.

My experience here was awesome. I have been here before and it was great. Not only did they help me find the car I wanted but it was newer than my first option. They listen to what you want and do the best to fulfill your nedds.

Dishonesty and bad customer service

I purchased a used lexus es 350 from van horn Hyundai a year ago and when i went to have it appraised for a possible trade in i discovered that the car had frame damage that I was never told about ! I was told when buying the car that it had been in a "minor" accident but was not informed that it had frame damage because i wouldn't have bought it ! When i did trade the car in i was told that I was entitled to a percentage back of the extended warranty i purchased but that i had to go through the dealership in order to start the process to get the refund . I spoke to a guy named Tim in finance who told us that he would mail us the forms to start the refund process but he never did and after a month of waiting i spoke to someone else who said they would just email the forms and they didn't do that either ! Every time i call and ask to speak to the GM i'm given the runaround ! BEWARE !!!!!

Bought a car

Rob did a great job working with us. when we asked questions he was willing to seek the answers from others when he did not know the information of the top of his head. I would be happy to work with him again.

Aggressive

I had contacted this dealer through cars.com regarding a car for sale. On a Wednesday, I get an e-mail that the car is going to auction within the next couple of days but they could hold the car if I was interested. Being six and one-half hours from the dealer, I wanted more information including CarFax details. The car ended up having a branded title due to a Toyota buyback (Lemon). We wanted more time to research the vehicle. On Friday, they were contacted by my local dealer to try to do a dealer purchase. My dealer was told that the car had already been wholesaled to another dealer. On Monday, I contacted my sales rep and he said the car was still on the lot. My dealer then called and made an offer which they turned down. The sales rep said it was up to me at the listed price. I waited to the next day (Tuesday) and e-mailed with another offer. I was then told that the car had been wholesaled to another dealer and was gone. Amazed me that the day after we started looking at the car that this process of either going to auction or wholesaling seemed to begin. As a dealer, I would think that if you have a potential customer to purchase the vehicle you would want to wait for a little while especially since they had the car since May. And we were talking about a week to 10 days from my inquiry. THIS WAS DEFINITELY A LOST SALE OPPORTUNITY. The dealership seems hard to work with on negotiating a purchase.
