Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

The software upgrade attempts to make older Hyundai vehicles more resilient to theft by modifying their vehicle control modules to not only activate the factory alarm when locking the doors, but also a special “ignition kill” feature that prevents thieves from starting the vehicle.

Hyundai has recalled 44,000 additional 2018 Santa Fe Sports for engine compartment fire risks.

Affiliated automakers Hyundai and Kia are issuing recalls for the risk of an engine compartment fire affecting more than 484,500 vehicles.

Hyundai has issued two fire-related recalls, one for its Santa Fe Sport SUV and the other for its Elantra sedan, Kona SUV and Veloster hatchback.

Approximately 151,200 2013-15 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport SUVs are being recalled for their antilock brake system modules.

 Highway Loss Data Institute says the turbocharged engines in those cars

 model-year 2013-14 Santa Fe Sport SUVs are being recalled for their fuel 
 tubes.
