Needed vehicle
Truck a little pricey but nice. Truck is comfortable. The truck have a nice stereo and I like the Bluetooth hook up to my smart phone.

Like a Rock
This truck is amazing. The looks and stance of the Z71 Midnight Edition is by far the best looking truck on the road. The ride is excellent. Interior is very comfortable. Add in the creature comforts and convenience of MyLink and the DIC and there is no reason to ever want to buy a different vehicle. Fuel efficiency is much better than I had on my six-cylinder Trailblazer.

My 18 is way better then my 14
My silverado 1500 z71 is meet my needs and is easy riding, handles the road well. It is by far an improvement over the 14 that i traded in. There are things i would change but overall a good truck.

Expected reliability
What is there to say? Always dependable. Own or have owned several Chevy Trucks. Can't beat them. Roomy interior for adults. Easy sight lines for backing and turning.

Very smooth ride
Truck has a very nice suspension and a smooth ride, I wish it was just a little bigger rear seat wise. it has a built in 110volt inverter along with multiple usb and cigarette ports. Nicest truck I have owned.

2018 chevy silverado 1500 LTZ Z71, 6.2 engine
The similar costing Fords have some nice features like push button start, BLISS, and EPA rated better gas mileage. But this chevy with the 6.2 engine rides smoother and sits more comfortable than any other vehicle I test drove (at least 12 other similar vehicles). it is very quiet. my testing of the fuel economy between the fords (2.7 and 3.5 liter turbo's) and chevy (6.2 liter), same day, same loop, showed the chevy to get better gas mileage (2 MPG better) in real life driving than the 6 cylinder turbo fords. I'm not sure why but it did. consistently.

Bowtie disappointment
I had owned a 2015 Silverado, which served me well, despite a few misgivings such as seat comfort, telemetrics, and hard to read gauges due to an offset steering wheel, and an interior that was cheap and clumsy, not to mention difficult to keep clean. When the lease was up, I decided on another Silverado (2018). It suffered the same nuances as the 2015 in addition to severe quality issues. 3 computers before 1,000 miles didn't instill a lot of confidence as a truck that would be dependable. Add to the fact that the engine always lunged and sputtered at low speeds (the dealership never could solve that issue and told me "that's just how they are), and I felt as if I was saddled with a lemon. It also struggled to pull my 8600lbs travel trailer, despite having a tow capacity of 9200 lbs. The engine sounded tortured while the trailer porpoised and seemed to guide the truck (tail wagging the dog). I have no such problems with my 2018 Tundra!
