2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T

I've driven this car for 1,500 miles and so far I LOVE it! Plenty of speed with 245 horsepower 2.0L Turbo charged engine. Super smooth with a standard 6 speed transmission. Interior is stylish and Apple CarPlay may be the best thing EVER! A few minor gripes, I wish there were upgrade options on the sport 2.0T trim. You can't get a push button start, keyless entry, sunroof, automatic climate control, or any extra safety features like blind spot monitoring with the 2.0 liter turbo engine unless you opt for the Limited 2.0 T trim which is almost $10,000 more expensive. I would have gladly paid an extra $1,500 to get some of these features, but unfortunately it's not an option. Other than that, it's great!

Love this car!

Drives like a dream. Lots of leg room in both front and back seats. Has so many extra features that we still haven't figured out how to use all of them. BEST: Good gas mileage.

Nice car

I really have always loved the Sonata. I drove one for a day and I have to say, I guess I just got used to a less boat like ride. It rode great, but reminded me of being in one of those big LTDs when I was younger.

Great 3rd car for the family

Was looking for an affordable, good mileage car with excellent cabin space and I found that in the 2017 Sonata. This car fits our family needs perfectly.

Great Car for the price

The Limited addition has all the features we were looking for and more. We test drove a Subaru and a Mazda with similar features (engine size, and safety features). The Hyundai and the Mazda were very close the the same peppy engine, gas mileage and safety features the Subaru lacked pep. The price of the Hyundai was thousands of dollars less than the Mazda. Mazda dealership tried to play some games with the pricing. The Hyundai dealership's final price was within $300 of what I was prepared to pay. No pressure or games were played.

My first new car

I'be had a 1996 Toyota Camry my entire adult life so getting a new , reliable car was important to me. I wasn't exactly sold on the brand until I got there. I went to many dealerships and Hyunadi blew the others out of the park. The car itself is absolutely everything I wanted and I couldn't have asked for more. I will be a customer for life !

Love This Car

I love this car. My first choice was a Kia Sorento, but after having some negative experiences with dealerships for that brand, I decided to look at the Hyundai brand. After doing extensive research on the brand, I settled on the 2017 Sonata Limited. I was able to find one for a wonderful deal. I am so impressed with this car. There are so many features that can rarely be found in other brands in the same price range. The Limited trim has a rearview camera, built in shades for the rear seat passengers, heated front and rear seats and ventilated front seats, dual climate control, bluetooth, SiriusXm, navigation, Blue Link, a sunroof, and so much more. I was pleasantly surprised with how much leg room there is for my children who are still in carseats. We also have a Ford Freestyle and while there is ample space overall, their feet touch the back of the front seats. In the Sonata that is not the case. The limited trim has 3 different drive modes (normal, eco, and sport) that offers different option to help with fuel efficiency. While we typically use the eco mode, we are able to switch to sports mode to give us that extra burst of speed for passing on the highway if we need to. I got a new Sonata, so the powertrain warranty is one of the best available. And I was beyond impressed with the safety ratings. If I had to list a con, it would be that I've gotten used to riding in a Freestyle so getting out of the Sonata feels a bit uncomfortable since it sits lower to the ground, but I'm sure this won't be an issue as soon as I get used to the car. Also, I wish the SiriusXM user interface was better. I get a little annoyed trying to find the stations that I enjoy listening to. The search results on the navigation could stand to be a little more accurate, but none of those things change my overall opinion of the Sonata. Overall, this car is awesome and is far exceeding my expectations. I didn't know this car would become my dream car, but it has.
