Excellance in a compact SUV

I wanted a highly reliable compact AWD SUV and found the perfect price-point in the AWD Sportage. Just pop the hood on one of these and you will be delighted at how neat the engine compartment is. There is literally nothing you cant get to under the hood in complete contrast to other brands. I'm not a fan of turbo chargers and so this vehicle has a perfectly matched normally aspirated engine with more than enough get-up and go. Gas mileage is WAY better than advertised as I get 29-30 between a mix of city and highway driving. The base model AWD Sportage is still loaded by any standards with bluetooth and backup camera standard. Essentially it has everything I want in a vehicle without some things that I personally would rather not have. And a 10year 100k drive-train warranty is the best in the industry as far as I know. I buy vehicles new and keep them until they are not worth fixing anymore. I fully plan on this vehicle being part our small fleet of cars for 20 years. (I have a 2001 Ford Ranger that is still running strong). We only drive our best vehicle, (which this one is now), about 6-8k miles a year that is one reason I get a lot of life out of our cars and we strive to keep salt exposure to a minimum in winter moths by driving our older cars in such conditions.

20 Cars Later-this is our favorite

Not quite sure why I ended up looking at a Kia, as in the past it had been VW, many Honda’s, and finally a slew of Subarus ! Ultimately it sold itself, good price, very comfortable, a nice ride, and the mileage was better than any of my previous cars, and then there was the warranty. The Staff at Berlin City in Williston VT are fantastic!

Sportage

I love the sportage it gets great gas mileage. Has get up and go. It is surprisingly roomy for a small SUV. This is the 2nd Kia I've purchased from Edwards Kia.

A great all round vehicle!

This car has been a pleasure to drive & rides very smooth. I most definitely will buy another KIA SUV. No more sedans for me! Very reliable vehicle with no mechanical problems at all. Love KIAs service ctr too.

Long awaited purchase...saddened

Love the look of the car and thought for a 2017 it would be a bit more loaded with features. Had a problem with my starter and it was under 40k. The steering wheel is so cold during the winter that I had to cover it. Even my other cars were not that cold. Hope it lasts as long as my Honda...many years. Always wanted to get a Kia and it's finally here...not the best of start but looking forward to reliability and longevity.

So far so good, I've only had it a week!

I finally found the color combination that I have been looking for and I absolutely love it, couldn't be happier. I actually just went to go look at the car, but ended up buying it. I traded in the same Model SUV but I put over 200,000 miles on it and it was one of the best cars I have ever had, got great gas mileage, drove great and turned on a dime. Never thought I would ever buy a Kia but now I'm on my 2nd one.

Great CUV

First ever purchase of an SUV and for some reason KIA doesn't get the respect it deserves. I cross shopped other CUVs in the segment and this one hits all my needs/wants. Toyota and Honda are basically appliances that have no soul. Mazda has the styling and drive feel but couldn't match the warranty of the Sportage. I was pleasantly surprised at how it's hits way above it segment and offers way more luxury amenities than I expected. Performance wise(SX turbo) this thing can move. European feel/drive with Asian reliability, top marks for crash testing, this one gets my vote. That says a lot from yours truly, a guy that drives a European 5 speed manual sports sedan.
