Inside lighting - tracking time &miles
the outside design is great. The inside is less than great.. it's simple things there's no lighting in the in the glove compartment not enough in the center console and no lighting on the doors in the front or back. You don't realize this when you purchase the car because you look at the car during the day not at night I'm really disappointed. When you are clocking your driving time if you stop and turn off the car it reset.

We love our new Forester
This is our first Subaru. We bought it for the all wheel drive feature which we need when we go to our home in NC. It is a smart looking car and the safety rating is very important as well. We bought the taupe touring model with the brown and black interior.

My new 2017 Subie Forester
Love it ! 2017 is so much more refined than previous models. I am a first time Subaru owner, wanted to downsize from a luxury SUV. The Forester Touring that I purchased is good looking, Dark Gray with brown leather is gorgeous, and has everything you want or need to be a non luxury small suv. Heated steering wheel, memory seats, premium stereo all make this a blast to drive, and you get Subaru safety which you can't beat along with full time awd drive. The new headlights and updated rear lights all make a big difference...try it if you are looking for a non luxury suv with many luxury amenities.

Perfect Car for the Money
The 2017 is now my 6th Subaru Vehicle. I must say that the 2017 is a much improved vehicle than the 2015. I only drive about 600 miles a month. So far I only have roughly 720 miles on the Odometer. If you are looking for comfort and safety...this is the vehicle you want/need. Be sure to get the one that has the most features/options that fit your needs. I have the Premium model w/weather package. The ride is superior and so far, I have only filled the gas tank twice. Even the base model...which my wife has...has great options and would be ideal for a young driver. If I were a parent sending my child to college, I would feel much at ease with them driving a Forester.

I love the color and good to drive.
The salesman was very helpful. My sister got a car from him. I would recommend to go see him if you need a car. The world Subaru has a nice show room. I trade in my car, and I transferred my registration and able to keep my olde car plate.

Touring with isight
We looked at a number of cars before buying the forester. My mom liked it the most. She liked the visibility and that it was easy to get in and out of the car. I like blind spot detection and lane departure. So far iSight had to put not the brakes when a car was too close in front of me. I like that it shows the weather forecast and I like having a compass in the mirrors. The headlights automatically go from high to low and back. We liked the heated seats. I feel the engine is Peppy and the gas mileage is great. We paid about $35,000 for the car including taxes and all the other fees.. We never went to the dealership. We negotiated by email and the delivered the car. That is the best way to do it if you know what car you want. It will save you a lot of time. Carefully read your contract and if you see something that is not right tell them to change it or take the car back..

Still Wondering
The Forester is my first AWD car and my first Subaru. 9 days after picking up this brand new car the "check engine" light comes on. Back to dealer...there is something wrong in the computer system that is causing it to light the "check engine" light when there is nothing wrong with the engine. Car to dealer...Subaru is sending someone with a chip to reprogram the computer so this won't happen. (????) 3 days later car comes home. One month later I receive a recall for the fact that the CVT (?) was not filled to the proper level in the factory. (????) So, now I need to make an appointment to have it topped off which they say will be at least 45 minutes (??? just to top it off???). I will do it, but I'm still a little jumpy about this car. I think the brakes feel a little mushy and when the driver's door is about to be closed it makes some 'clunking' sounds...have no idea what that is. I did notice that the window controls are in an uncomfortable position with the door handle leaning out above them. You have to reach under to operate the windows. I'll get used to it. I'm praying that from here out as winter progresses I will love this car.

Love this Car!
I traded in a 2014 Forester XT. This 2017 touring non-turbo rides more smoothly, is peppier, has more responsive brakes and is much quieter. FINALLY, the electronics are in the competitive range of other manufacturers. The bluetooth works well and I'm not drowned out by road noise. The bluetooth even reads aloud my text messages (Windows phone). I am happy to have the memory seat, heated steering wheel and power passenger window. Nice long leg room and plenty of headroom in the front seat. My gas mileage moving into the second tank of gas already "broke" 30 mpg...I expect it to further improve. Complaints...Subaru could further expand on its electronics...Toyota and Honda are better. Storage space inside doesn't take advantage of "dead" space. But overall, it's a great comfortable care with the best visibility!

Nice but needs improvement
My 2017 Forester is nice but needs some packaging changes including more storage up front, brighter interior lighting, speed sensitive locks, lighted passenger window and lock buttons and power accessories that can be used briefly when the car is off. Remote start should also be part of the cold weather package. Power and transmission shifts are different when a/c is on. Could be better.
