2019 Subaru Forester consumer reviews

This is my first Subaru coming from a Toyota Prius. I was hesitant to lose the 40 mpg (the 50 mpg Toyota claims is under specific conditions and not the norm). I just drove it across country and put 6000 miles on in the first month. The clearance was great when I took it off road on many unpaved paths through New Mexico and Arizona. The adaptive cruise control is amazing (still getting used to the car coming to a complete stop when following a vehicle) Side Note: the adaptive control is NOT FOOL PROOF. It cannot drive the vehicle hands free ( there was a moment during congested traffic when I was cut off and my response time was faster than the car recognizing the cut off vehicle. I used the vehicle to sleep in, dropping down the back seats and using an air mattress. Only gripe is not having an interior rear hatch handle to exit after sleep( crawled out the side doors).

This is our sixth Subaru and our first Forrester. The 2019 has a great ride to it, it is quiet, stable, and comfortable at highway cruising speed. It is zippy enough around town. It has a host of safety features standard including lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and preemptive braking. We’ve had the car for a few months now and both my wife and I are very happy with it. Visibility is absolutely fantastic. The only thing I don’t like is the automatic engine shut off at a ligh we’ve had the car for a few months now and both my wife and I are very happy with it. Visibility is absolutely fantastic. We are leasing this and expect the same reliability we’ve had from all the other Subarus we’ve leased.

Everything I expected, great visibility, easy dashboard to use, easy to step into car without hitting head. I am 68 and lucky to own Subaru.

My wife and I feel like we have owned this car for a long time, even though it has only been 1 day. It is so easy and comfortable to drive. We are very happy with our choice.

I was very happy with Subaru cars when I first purchased a Imprezza. I have now owned 3 Forresters and each is better than the last. Love the cameras all around for added safety.

Car meets my needs for utility and comfort, good pep for 4 cyl., great for safety assists such as backup camera, rear/forward brake assist, rear cross traffic alerts, blind spot sensors, etc.

This is a very comfortable vehicle for an SUV. It's not a luxury car, but I'm 6'4" and a big man, and it's very comfortable for me, in either the driver's seat or the passenger's. And with my short wife driving, the back seat is even very comfortable. It has lots of great features (we got the "Touring Package"), and it's VERY quiet. Only down-side I've found so far (and this will be true of any vehicle with LED headlights), when there's wet, heavy snow, it packs onto the headlights and blocks them. It's now our "road-trip" car.

Subaru makes an exceptional vehicle and the cost is very fair. The quality of construction is very good, it is reliable, efficient, and holds its value. I don't shop around other makes when purchasing a new vehicle.

We replaced a 2015 Forester which we also liked but we wanted to get the new safety features which are available on the new model

I love the way my Forester Touring rides and how it looks outside and inside. I feel so safe driving this SUV and my wife is so comfortable in the passenger seat. I also appreciate Subaru for having a CD player in the Forester since I have so many CDs. Right now, my next car will be another Forester Touring in a few years.
