It a car to get around that will get you to A to B

This car only need a alternator and AC recharge and it will be a reliable car without a doubt. I am willing to negotiate the price.

Car is 23 years old--almost flawless Legend Coupe

Almost flawless: The A/C is gone (uses refrigerant no longer available), Radio is kaput. Electronic seat memory is gone. Other than that not much to report. I've replaced the radiator and I think maybe the alternator in 190k miles. Other maintenance include the timing belt and the water pump. Ok, why is this relevant? I've looking for a new car and have been reading reviews for at least a year. The title "things we don't like" is really off-putting. I'm looking for the car with a blank under TWDL. They just don't make 'em like they used to.

224,000 miles, 76,000 to go...

In 1995, one after another, I took four used Acuras to my local Acura dealer's service department, asking him to judge each. I wanted a car that would last 'forever.' The 4th car was IT. A 1990 Acura Legend that he promised would last 300,000 miles. Today, the Acura is 18 years old carrying 234,000 miles. The air conditioning system still gets as cold as you could want it, the heating system as hot as you could want it, the leather interior still looks new, and she drives like a dream. For the first 10 years she was serviced by the Acura book. After that needed repairs were done along with oil changes every 3000 miles. I've not done anything major: only brakes, belts, constantly putting air in leaky tires, an alternator... It could use some rust work, but at 18 and lots of salt on the road, oh, well. Thank goodness for that Acura service department's help!

Very reliable and fun vehicle

The 1990 Acura legend is a great vehicle. The exterior styling cloaks the actual age of the car. The interior is spacious and comfortable. The setup of the dashboard in the vehicle is both driver and passenger friendly. All forms of the vehicle from standard to Luxury sport come with an adustable steering wheel. The driver seats in all Luxury(L) and LS versions are electronic. They go in all directions. There are not many differences in the 1990 model from the earlier 1989 model year. The hood of the vehicle is the only noticable change. All models can be equipped with a moon roof. The powerplant in the generation one Acura Legend is a 2.7L V6 engine. It produces approximately 160 horsepower and 160ft. lb of torque. The supension gives the driver full control of this power. This is a very good vehicle. Its great for someone who would like a reliable vehicle that isn't that bad on gas.
