2019 Acura RDX Tech: Outstanding

I wanted a car to meet the needs of each of the four seasons, especially winter. The Acura RDX Tech well satisfies these needs and my own desires. Mr. Ed Alexander, Sales demonstrated all of the vehicle's uses and the electronics. I have owned cars on and off for 54 years. This vehicle is certainly the most comfortable, usable and spacious. It stands out among other vehicles.

Sweet Drive

This car far exceeds my expectations, I love the styling - both interior and exterior. The different driving modes are fun. I have the ASPEC model, blue outside, red leather interior and it is beautiful and eye catching. The 16 speaker system is a delight.

Excellent choice

I like the design, performance and safety features. Not the cheapest SUV, but a good value none the less. Of the four drive settings - Snow, Comfort, Sport and Sport+, I find Sport the best setting for daily driving. The 12 way adjustable seats let anyone find a comfortable set up for driver or passenger.

Like a dream

I owned a 2012 and test drove the 2019 while mine was getting serviced. The ride was beyond smooth! The features and comfort were out of this world. I did my research on BMW, Audi, Lexus and Mercedes, all of which I was considering, but none compared in features and price-point. At the end, I purchased the RDX in black with black interior and upgraded to the black rims.

Comfortable,Reliable and Safe Auto

Really love the car and ditto for my wife.We rely on it for all our transportation....and it fulfills all of our needs in safety and comfort. We have owned five other Acuras and we like this one the best.

too noisy

why did Acura change from the efficient, quiet, powerful v6 engine??? the new 4 cyl. turbo engine is very loud to the point where it's annoying. The body styling and interior design is very nice and the vehicle handles the road nicely

Sad Acura goes back to turbo

A major step backward as Acura goes back the turbo like the first gen. While interior seems more refined, the second gen V6 is a lot quieter and more comfortable than this third gen i4. The noise level is simply unbearable and only a few racer may like the idea. It is bad business decision that Acura listened to the few car magazine reviewers who mostly are sport racing oriented. The success of second gen RDX was mainly due to the majority of day to day driver wants quiet and comfortable ride. I was at the dealer test driving this model and within an hour, there were three couples asking for the second gen. 2018 RDX. All of them stated pretty clear there is no way they would fork $45K for an i4 turbo, and they hadn't even tested drive this noisy third gen. I haven't seen one 2019 on the road while the dealer parking lots were loaded with 2019 model you can tell the new third gen is a big mistake and products are not flying off the shelf.

1300 miles and it broke down

We loved all of the features and look. It had issues with the rear door closing on us. The cruise control would jump to 90 miles an hour. Worst part is, it lost all power and steering while we were driving just past Atlanta GA. We were 3 lanes in and had to battle in heavy traffic to get to the shoulder of the road while cars were zooming past. It was terrifying. We had 1300 miles on it. We just took it on a business trip. Accura road side service told us we didn?t have road side service and told us they could help us find a tow truck and the cost was $250 about. We were stranded due to no car rentals in the area having any one way vehicles. We missed our meeting. We stayed overnight and heard nothing. I called Acura for help with the mess and even escalated the issue up in accura as high as I could and they didn?t help us. I was told this death trap of a car was our problem. A 2019 RDX with 1300 miles that we bought less than 3 weeks earlier was our problem. They would cover the warranty and fix it but that was it. This vehicle has too many glitches and I would advise against it and also say that Acura was horrible to buy from. The lot did end is helping us and we worked out a trade for an MDX 2018. Hopefully it?s a good car for us. I wish we would have stayed buying from Ford and the Lincoln brand.
