2006 Acura RSX consumer reviews

I bought my RSX Type S new in 2006. I was told I received the last Blackhawk Night Pearl Type S in the Eastern US. I fell in love upon first seeing an RSX on the road and just had to have one! I still own my little gem and enjoy it on the days I don't have the kids in tow. It's beautiful to look at and incredibly fun to drive. You can shift gears with a flick of the wrist in this car and it is so smooth. A few years into my ownership, I upgraded the head unit and now have a bluetooth-compatible audio system with GPS. This upgrade has brought the car into the 2020's! The only downside to still owning this car is that the backseat is very small for passengers. The storage space is amazing, though, because the rear seats both fold completely flat. Overall, this is an excellenet car that has given me no major issues at all.

A hatchback....that you cannot find no more......it has 151,000 km and runs just fine.....not much repairs yet......I just love this car....I canT put my mind to sell it....I still think the model is beautiful.....and still when I look at it I still think it's a very good looking car....to my taste....

Loved everything about this car. It’s really easy to learn manual with. It’s super fuel efficient and it has lots of good aftermarket parts to buy.

If you are any sort of car enthusiast then you will love driving one of these, but I'd highly suggest you get the more sporty Type S model. That is the one I own and it has 40 more HP than the base model which you can definitely feel the difference in power. I bought mine at 150K miles with 2 previous owners and they kept the car in phenomenal shape both aesthetically and mechanically speaking. These are Honda engines so if you keep up with basic maintenance the engine will last for a VERY LONG time. The car is relatively rare and has timeless styling. I get compliments on it regularly from teenagers and all the way up to 70+ year old senior citizens. When this car eventually dies on me (hopefully WAYYY down the line) I'm either going to buy another RSX Type S or a Honda Civic Si. Regardless, this car sold me on Honda engines, specifically the K20 and I'm never turning to anything else. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED CAR!!!!

Great family vehicle for 2 young girls and family of 4. Got AWD for road trips through the mountains, snow, and rain. Love the entertainment package to keep the kids occupied.

Other body parts, such as the hood, front fenders, the trunk lid and its frame are aluminum, while the significant use of high-tensile steel helps enhancing the robustness, minimizing the overall mass.

I actually cried when I sold my 2006 Acura rsx type-s. It was my dream car. She never failed me. The only reason I sold her was to purchase a "mom" vehicle. I hope Acura brings the RSX back to their line up. I would love to own one again. Fun to drive and had excellent handling. Great on gas and super stylish!

This car is fun right from the factory. To make this car near perfect, it needs to have a little bit stiffer suspension and lowered about 2 inches with a new intake for increased responsiveness. Its a nice styling car and comfortable/sporty on the interior. You can never go wrong with a honda/acura. Very reliable. The more i drive it the more i like it. This car has very high potential to be a super fun, high performing car. Highly recommended.

I LOVE it. Ive always wanted one and I finally got to buy my own once I turned 18. It?s fantastic. Perfect year for this Acura, it?s a type S and is quick. I?ve owned 5 other vehicles previously and nothing compares to my Rsx.

This car is quick and the VTEC engine is extremely responsive. I'm only selling it because I got a hand me down Dodge Durango which will be better for me in the winter. My other car is a 911 so this one has to go.
