Yep Yep, I love this 4 door Japanese Maserati, lol
Love this car, I bought it and it had a "tranny issue" the local Acura dealer told me I needed to spend $6k for a new tranny, lol. Good thing I don't have sucker on my forehead and can read, learned alot online in forums which made me try replacing my shift solenoids & the tranny fluid which when drained it had 4.5 quarts in it(it takes 3 qts) no wonder it slipped. Been almost a year, 15000+ miles on it, 6-0 in races with a top speed of 141 mph. It's all been custom painted inside and out with custom rims and stereo, yeah I love my 4 door Japanese Maserati.

Best used car I have ever bought
Very fast, super comfortable and stylish. Transmissions go out frequently unless maintenance is performed.

Reliable until it's not
This car has held up incredibly well through 16 years of wear and tear. Granted it has been well taken care of by me and the previous owner. The car has decent power, mpg (on 91), good ride quality and a nice interior. This car is still a step above economy cars today in terms of quality, feel and amenities. However, the fear that one day the notoriously unreliable transmission will fail is always on my mind. As a preventative measure I change the ATF fluid every other oil change.

Traded this model in and bought an RDX.
Honda is a very dependable car. We drove our TL 15 years with no real issues except replacing the air bags under recall, which almost every auto maker had to do! We also own an MDX bought in 2006 so far no issues.

This car is very fun to drive.
This is a very fun car to drive even with everything stock, and if you add mods to it, it just gets better. Another upside to this car is that it looks aggressive, as well its built really well, with pretty cheap new replacement parts.

Sold on the Acura TL Type S
I bought this TL Type S used with 140,000 miles on it over 4 and a half years ago. It now has 213,500 miles on it and runs just as good as the day I bought it. I knew the person I bought it from had taken good care of it and that is why I bought it with such high mileage. Also, knew he had the problematic transmission issue known on the 99-03 TL's taken care of. I've owned a Camry, Accord, Saturn and a Lexus ES 300 and the Acura TLS beats them all and it's not even close. It has more power than you need (267 hp in the Type S) and the suspension is solid. The car has never been out of alignment and really hugs the road for an old luxury car yet Still drives like a new luxury car. The only negatives is the large turning radius, as others have mentioned and requiring premium gas. In NC premium usually sells for 50 to 80 cents more than regular. If you can find a used one that has been well maintained with regular oil changes and the owner used premium gas I would say you have a car that should get 300,000 miles on it. I feel like mine will. Not sure about the newer TL's but these older models are great dependable cars. If they have high mileage it probably means the transmission issue was fixed. If it was, you will have great used car with a lot of life left in it. I can honestly say it's the best car I've ever owned.
