2019 Acura TLX consumer reviews

I haven't had the car for long, but I have enjoyed it. It's comfortable and reliable. I drove similar cars, and found this one to be the best.

I currently own an Acura TLX SH-AWD and this is my second Acura. Previously I owned an ILX. I love the upgrade, the exterior and the interior of the car. The v6 engine’s performance is great and the technologies that comes with the base package is way sufficient than to purchase additional ones. Overall I am very happy with my car. I will definitely recommend this car to my friends and family.

Having issues with spots under the clear coat. Dealer tried to buff it out twice. Spots still there. They buffed the clear coat off and had to re-paint. Now client services is saying it’s because I bought the red and it’s hard water spots. I have another Acura right next to it with no issues. Where is the customer service here? This is my 7th Acura and my last one since they are not standing behind their product.

poor initial quality, much worse service. three issues in the first 2000 miles with two service trips and no resolution. These guys must not have heard of customer focus.

As soon as I saw my car I fell in love with. Drives so smooth and has great milage. Haven’t had any problems with it since I’ve purchased it.

I have only owned it for a week...so far so good. I bought a car after nearly 14 years! My 2002 Acura TL still runs smoothly, but thought it was time for a new one. After some research comparing various brands in my price range, I still ended up settling on the 2019 Acura TLX SH-AWD with Tech package...had only 5K miles on it! I was half-tempted to go for a BMW, but considering the total cost of ownership, I felt the Acura was still the best value for money without any compromise on quality, performance and reliability. I really like the tech features and road handling so far! It has a smooth acceleration and the sport+ mode gives a zippy feel, and you get to see the SH-AWD in full force.

Well things have changed a bit in 2 weeks. The transmission troubles that others have referenced for the 9 speed transmission in the V6 TLX has reared its ugly head in my car. The car can't make up its mind which gear to be in - it lurches a bit. Happens more at lower speeds. Disappointed at the moment. Dealer said it learns driver habits so they did a factory reset to erase all data since it was dealer demo. Has made no difference. Also feeling a vibration in the front end but its very sporadic so can't pin it down to anything yet. Not happy about it given what we paid. Yes its under warranty but I don't want to battle with Duval Acura for years about this.

Looks are fine, but there are serious transmission issues with TLX-6 cylinder. I fell for A-spec package, but not much about that. Adaptive cruise control is not of much use.

Very disappointed 3 months old, paint scraped off on front bumber, From front and bottoming out very easy when driving on roads over Small bumps or dips on the road had cars in the past with low suspension like this but never had a problem like this car, taking car back.......

Great driving car, responsive, good acceleration, very sporty performance. Smooth ride and quiet too. Nice options and good looking lines. The Acura is well worth the cost.
