Explore the 2020 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider

An indescribable driving experience which I own!

When I first saw the 4C with its stunning beautiful looks and then the Spider which reminded me of an old Dino Ferrari I thought wow! Then I read it only had a turbo charged 4 cylinder and no manual transmission so I wasn’t too keen. Fast forward a few months later and I found myself at the local Alfa dealer and had a test drive. OMG! The handling of the car and the “connection “ I seemed to have with the car was nothing I had experienced before and this is from a previous air cooled Porsche 911 die hard!! I had to have one. Fortunately the Minister of Finance in our household did some maths and a few months later I was driving home a beautiful giallo ( yellow to you non Italian speaking car buffs) spider. Every time i drive this thing she always brings a smile to my face. Upon parking and exiting the car I never fail to turn around and look back. Is it perfect - absolutely not, the interior is cheaply put together, it lacks any and all creature comforts, it’s noisy as xxxx, but who cares? People risk neck injuries as they turn to see what it is as I drive past, kids love it and it announces itself a kilometre before it arrives anywhere due to that loud booming exhaust. Getting in and out requires grace and athleticism which left me in my teens if I had any at all but once snugly fit in those racing seats the whole cockpit surrounds you like a jet fighter ready to take off and boy does it ! It’s amazing how fast this car is helped predominantly by its super low weight and tarmac hugging low height. It’s such a visceral experience that every petroleum head needs in their lives.

Everymans Bugatti

This is a full throated drivers car. Don't buy it if your more concerned with storing golf clubs or chrome gauges. I found any tramming was completely corrected by a set of larger conti hypo tires. The Pirellis are really the problem!!. Performance is wonderful @ 26K miles. Everytime I drive i say I Love Driving This Car.

Great Car

I actually own this car and it’s fantastic. It’s not my daily but great performance. I get looks and people stopping me all the time to talk about it or ask about it. It’s not the fastest but it’s fast. It’s not the best handling but handles well. It’s mid-engine, hand built. It’s made of carbon fiber and the build materials are in cars 2-3x as expensive. This is a car that I really believe its more than the spec sheets and is a sum of its parts. It’s got flaws but those create the personality that make it special. ...there is at least one other review that looks like a bot (username is jibberish and just says they don’t like it and need another car giving it 1 star dragging it down. Surprised they approved it - zero insight from it).

Most Fun I've Had In A Car

The Alfa Romeo 4C... It's a car that has respect wherever you go whether you're with a pack of Alfas or a pack of Ferraris. It blends in very well with other exotics. The power that you feel is where the enjoyment comes from and i guarantee any new owner will understand my words
