A4 owner for life
I've enjoyed driving my 03 A4 3.0. It's not as quick as a 3series or a G35 but has enough power to get me around slow left lane blockers. For comfort and styling, it can't be beat. The Quattro makes it fun to drive in rain or snow. You can get a faster car for the price, but I'm always reminded of what I'm missing whenever I drive a different car.

Nice Looking Piece of Junk
I just traded my 2003 1.8 A4 for a new car because I am tired of spending time and money on repairs. I purchased the A4 from an Audi dealer with a certified warranty. Good thing - this car was in the shop at least every other month with one problem or another The check engine light goes on all the time - at 70K miles the turbo went.Fortunately I had the warranty - it would have cost thousands. Now that the warranty is over - I dumped this German piece of junk for a new Honda Accord Coupe. The Honda runs smoother, quicker and is tighter than the Audi - and it was built in the USA. I'm sure I will spend less time in the shop. I have owned many german cars since the 80s and this was the by far the worst car I ever owned. BTW I also own a 2007 A6 - no problems with that one.... yet. Dont buy a used Audi older than 2006 unless you are good friends with a mechanic.

BEST CAR EVER
I love these cars thats all I got to say. Never had any problems with it. Just oil changes and tires. Warranty covered the only two thing that went wrong which was the air conditioning repair and the replacement of the diverter valve. For 2 years nothing has gone wrong with this amazing machine.

Excellent snow car
I bought a used 2003 Audi A4 3.0 V6 because I was looking for a hot, powerful car that would get me up to the mountains. I had researched a lot and compared it to Subarus but couldn't get away from the sleek lines of the A4. I wasn't expecting the level of satisfaction I got (and am still getting) from this car. It handles like a dream in snow, and the features like leather, lumbar support, dual climate control, Bose system and on and on.. have just wowed me every time I drive it. I live in Seattle where you find a lot of slick wet hilly roads and this car gives me no tire spin out when accelerating from a hill stop. Excellent!

Too many recalls
I was looking for a dependable car. I figured new it shouldn't have problems. It has had several recalls on the engine. At 60,000 there was a recall on the timing belt. It needed to be replaced which shouldn't have been done until 100k. I had to pay for half the costs. I was told I should replace the water pump at the same time which I paid for...also shouldn't have had to be done until 100k. My neighbor who had a extended warranty had to have a new water pump before 70k. The car was sold on the assumption that the car had low maintenance. I strongly disagree. Within two months after this I almost didn't make it home from work. Coil wires needed to be replaced. They suggested I do all of them because they would probably all go. Right after my warranty is up I'm already paying $1000. What next? With all the recalls on the engine I and problems...How will these problems effect the other parts of my engine?? When my car is running I really enjoy it.

2003 A4 1.8T Quattro
This is my second A4. My last one was a '97. This is a bit newer and quite a bit nicer. Features are a bit more refined. Mine is a 5-speed manual with the sport package. It's amazing to drive on back-roads, even though it's a bit heavy. With quattro awd, you can barely feel how heavy the car really is. I'm more on the aftermarket aspect of the car, so I was looking for the 1.8T rather than the 3.0. With less than $1k, you can make this car faster than a 3.0 with much better mileage and it's lighter. AWD makes for some great launches, even with a little 4 banger under the hood.

Trouble
Our Audi A4 started stuttering at 3 am, by 3:30 am it was stopped at the side of the road. Next day Audi said that there was no problem. I picked up the car and drove 100 yards when it died again. After waiting 3 hours for Audi road assistance (the dealer refused to come 100 yards to pick up the car) the dealer eventually diagnosed a bad fuel pump and replaced it.

Great car for the money
I have the sport package and for me it works well because I like the stiff suspension but it ma ride a little bumpy for some people, but it looks great and I like it. Other than that I would recomend it to anybody in the market for a used car. The certified warenty is great.

Don't want No BMW! A4 3.0 Quattro ONLY
I've owned this car now for 4 months and I love it. Great handling and nice power. First gear is sluggish if not warmed up for abt 2 minutes but a wiz after that. Very cool red lights everywhere. Nice clear and crisp sound system. The kickdown feature will make you hold on tight during "take-off". Not much leg room in the rear for someone over 5' 10" with the front seats back. What a looker though!

Everything you need and more
I purchased the A4 3.0 a couple of months ago and I could not be happier. The car provides a good blend of power, handling and fuel efficiency. If you decide to buy a used Audi I would recommend the larger engine. I have driven the 1.8T and it is a little sluggish, particularly at higher speeds. The car provides many interior functions not even MB or BMW offer. The only flaw I found was the quality of the steering wheel and A/C buttons: they tend to fade and turn into an ugly white after extended usage.
