Favorite car I've ever owned!

by Joyfulspirit from Colorado Springs, CO on Sun Dec 17 2006

This car is very comfortable. The heater gets warm within a matter of sec's & the heated seats are great! Everything is power controlled and the seats can be put in every postiion possible. The front & rear defroster works fast. The car is fast and very easy to manuever. It takes curves fast & tight,,,just love it! I also like the manual or automatic option. It has a great sound system with a 6 cd changer in the trunk. The back seats fold down & there's a place to put skies in the trunk through the middle of the back seats. I love this car but have to sell it to catch up on rent and bills :( This car would make a wonderful Christmas gift for some special person.

Very expensive to own

by Kenny B from Indianapolis on Tue Feb 27 2007

Beautifull car inside and out. They are just very unreliable and expensive to repair. After 60k mine just started to fall apart. Water pump, radiator cooling fan, timing belt, belt tensioner, CV joints, tie rods, front suspension arms. Just sickening.

Our Take on the 1998 Audi A6

All too often at an old car show, spectators will shake their heads while looking at an outlandish sheet metal creation, and wonder, "What were they thinking?"

Tail fins, continental tire kits, vinyl roofs, AMC Pacers -- the list goes on and on.

Certainly, the same charge could be leveled today at the blob-mobiles that pass for fashionable sedans or the outlandish, cartoony trucks that dealers can't sell enough of.

With people paying upwards of $40k for the safety of an all-wheel-drive vehicle, why don't more people buy an Audi Quattro?

Certainly, the price of the car is right up there with those of many sport utilities. And few of them have the stunning, artful shape this car... Read More
