Major component failures before hitting 50K miles.

Major component failures before hitting 50K miles. Water pump failure, generator failure. These are major components that are are unacceptable to fail this early. It really is just a VW made to look a little prettier. Same junk.

Unreliable but fun.

It has been to the shop four times since I hit 40,000 miles. I now have 50,000 miles and am horrified of what's next. Two times were electrical system problems. One cause and entire system shutdown on the interstate (common issue for the '19 A6). Another time was a break sensor issue. Then, the driver door stopped latching when closed. The Audi mechanic said he tells his family to buy Toyota.

Buyer beware

I bought this car a new in 2019. In the past year, it has had two very serious problems. The generator malfunctioned last fall, causing a cascading series of problems that ultimately required the card to be towed into the dealership for service. Just today a low pressure, fuel valve, malfunctioned, causing the car to go into “limp mode” with RPMs limited to 2500 in the middle of a long road trip. Steer clear, or buy an extended warranty.

Must buy at a realistic price.

Such a gorgeous vehicle, inside and out. Haven’t had a single issue with it for over a year of having it used. Inside of the vehicle is super roomy, and driving feels very comfortable, and really we’ll insulated!

Good looks with terrible reliability

This car is extremely beautiful from the exterior and has an exquisite look and touch in the interior. The screens are a pain to use to adjust climate controls and etc. The car can feel very sluggish at times due to the weight of the vehicle. Within my first week of owning the vehicle I got an alert saying Transmission service required and I called the dealer and they said they ran inspections before it was sold to me and it was fine. I used my code scanner to clear it upon the dealers recommendation and the next day my car was thrown into limp mode. The dealership covered expenses to tow it from my house to the dealer and they concluded that it was an electrical issue with the hybrid system and for some reason it was throwing off transmission fault errors. After the dealer did further inspection they also found out things like the rear seat climate control didn't work, the sunroof wouldn't open, and the power adjusting mirrors would not move at all. After replacing the hybrid they informed me it wasn't under warranty and I had to pay near $8000 for everything to be repaired. It was good from then until now when I sold it this year because my power steering went out and I had another electrical short and I had to have the entire wiring harness replaced. Do not recommend.

Great car, but electrical problems already

Alternator went out less than 50,000 miles. Back order for part, told by dealership 2 months for possible repair. No loner car available. Great car, but this is really ruining the experience. Prior to this issue, I was very pleased with everything about the vehicle.

Turned to lemon in 3 years / 28K miles

I bought my 2019 Audi A6 3 years ago. First two years were great as I loved the car, comfort, style, performance, features. However, the past 12 months have been a nightmare with multiple electrical and mechanical issues. My car is currently at the dealer with a "generator" issue. The parts to repair are on back order from Audi with no ETA. The dealer won't give me a loaner since they don't know when they may get it back. I have been without transportation for 2+ weeks now with no hope of getting my car back. Opened a case with Audi USA, requested a rental car. No help or support from Audi USA or the Dealer as they keep pointing to each other for help. Very frustrating!

My favorite car out of the over 17 that I’ve owned

An truly amazing car with the best technology I have ever seen in an automobile. I am an electrical engineer so I don’t make that claim lightly. The best engineered car I have ever owned. I look forward to driving it whenever I need to go somewhere - a powerful comfortable car that can compete with cars costing much more.
