Great blend of German engineering and luxury
I have a 2014 RS5 cabriolet. This car is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Coming from a 2012 BMW M3, the RS5 is much more civilized and refined, but can still put you back in your seat when you want to drive it hard. The exterior is gorgeous - one of the best looking cars in the Audi line-up. The fender flairs, absent on the A5 and S5, plus the masculine grill and air intakes in the front, give the RS5 an aggressive stance. Audi's attention to detail and quality is superb. The interior is well designed and made of quality of materials. The MMI system is far superior to the M3, with a more advanced navigation system that uses a higher resolution display vs the BMW. The ride is smoother compared to the BMW as well. Put it is comfort mode, and the DCT shifts are almost undetectable. Put it in dynamic mode, and the exhausts rumble to life and the DCT shifts are purposeful as the rpms push 8400 between gears. With the convertible top, usable rear seats (a bit tight, but kid-friendly) and Quattro all wheel drive, this is a great all-around daily driver for year round conditions. The M3 is a great driving car with a track pedigree, excellent handling and balance, powerful V8 engine, and a blast to drive. The M3 is much more of a performance car with a high-strung personality. But it was a bit raw as an all around family/fun car. I was looking for a car that had a bit of everything in one vehicle, and the RS5 fits the bill quite nicely with a lot of style and punch.

Can't Help But Love It!
My last two cars have been Genesis Grand Touring 3.8 Coupes, which I really loved as a terrific value. But when I went just to look at Audi and got a test drive in the RS 5 it was game over. This car is like nothing else for the money I have experienced. I've been to Porsche Performance Driving School at Barber Motorsports Park for for 4 years and love those cars. This car is so close in performance to the 911 Carrera S for a whole lot less money, I just had to have it. I love the comfort with the outstanding performance and all the tech equipment. At 135 mph it is stable you really feel in full control. This 72 year old kid is loving every minute of this car.

WOW!!!
WOW!!! What a car. Traded my 2013 BMW M3 in on a 2014 RS5. No comparison - this RS5 is some car. Performance, handling, comfort and the sheer pleasure of driving this car is something you will want to experience. The RS5 has that smile factor. If you are looking for a high performance luxury car - you will find it in the RS5.
