2009 Audi S5 consumer reviews

I bought my wife a BMW 335 coupe last year and since I was driving a Toyota 4Runner every chance I got I would drive her car. Then the day came "why don't you get your own car" was uttered from my wife's lips. I then set out to find a car for me. Obviously I didn't want the same car I got my wife so the M3 was out and since I am not old enough, and I actually enjoy driving, Mercedes was out. I saw an S5 on the road and once I figured out what it was it had me intrigued. I test drove the S5 and was immediately sold. It handles better than the BMW, accelerates better is is way more comfortable. I know this sounds stupid but sometimes when I am not just on the free way I turn the stereo off just to listen to the engine. The best part (and not to sound snobby) is they don't have a $400/month lease so you don't see to many of them. Any time I get in our out of the car someone asks about it. My only complaint is gas mileage...I know you don't get a sports car with a V8 and expect to get good mileage (the 335 got 28 MPG averaging 85-90 mph driving San Diego to Vegas) but the tank is too small. I get about 14 mpg and don't care, but the fact that I am hard pressed to get even close to 250 miles on a tank of gas sucks. None the less I plan to drive to Vegas in 2 weeks...just for the 1st time I will have to stop on the way for gas.

I am an absolute car lover. I generally only buy Honda's and Audi's, and I generally buy a lot of them. I have had 4 Honda's before, and they have never disappointed me. They have never wow'ed me, but they were solid reliable vehicles. I had a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T and that was a true drivers car. Upon recent decisions to sell a few of my older cars that I don't drive that often, I was now in the market to purchase a new vehicle. Now I'm a single guy, and I don't need any big SUV's or anything like that. A friend of mine suggested checking out the Audi A5. I have heard good things about it, and have seen a few, and in my opinion, they are absolutely gorgeous. No doubt about it. I decided to go for the Audi than the Honda, because I crave a fun ride, and the S2000, although an amazing car to drive, proves uncomfortable at times. Although it is still a good consideration. I took a day, and went to an Audi dealership near my house. Not only did they have the A5, but they had an S5. Jet Black with Black Leather interior. That's the car I test drove. And that's the car I fell in love with. From the performance to the comfort, and the dependability to the safety, this car has it all. Not to mention the great looks. Heads turn everywhere I go, and I love it. For me, there really isn't more of a perfect car. Audi has truly done something amazing here. Trust me.

Dont hesitate.... if you want a fast all season awd coupe, then this is the car for you. Put snow tires on in the winter and you will beable to make it anywhere. Back seats are uncomfortable for anyone over 6 feet tall.

This is one amazing car!!! A blast to drive, definitely gets the looks! Just grabs the road and doesn't let go! Our 2nd Audi and it doesn't come close to disappointing!

wow - is this thing fun to drive...sure - there are faster bmw's and merc's - but this car attracts so much attention that its ridiculous. even my wife laughs at all the looks we get going down the street! if you want attention and a very fast and comfortable ride - this is for you...if you just want comfortable get a merc, just want fast get a beemer.
