I purchased this vehicle new in July 2025 as the "all

I purchased this vehicle new in July 2025 as the "all new" S5 and it has been nothing but a headache. My car has been in the shop five times its first year (and only has about 7,200 miles on it). The check engine light has been on more than off, a trim piece rattled (this was fixed by the local dealership), there is an error that claims a door is open so the cruise control does not work (there is (allegedly) a software issue to fix that error “coming”), the rear hatch does not open (again, Audi claims this is a software issue with a fix sometime in the future), the map had to be reset because it did not know where I was, the traffic sign recognition keeps going on/off (again, the claim is this is software) and finally, the blind spot warning sees ghosts (scary some times when nothing is actually there). Frustrated by the continued issues, I wrote to Audi customer care about this (hello Aneel) and was told that at some point in the future, there should be a software update (a “PSS”) that should fix these issues (makes you wonder how many other people are having the same issues). I was also told that because my car is generally driveable (right now, only the hatch and cruise control do not work), that I need to “enjoy the suck” (my summary of Aneel’s email) and keep driving it until the software update which would hopefully fix it. Given that there is supposed to be a software fix, that means this is a general problem for these cars, so if you purchase one, be prepared for numerous “software issues” that the dealership cannot fix and you have to deal with until the solution is actually released or you get so frustrated that you get rid of the car (that is what I am going to do).

Car is very noisy on the road and has a rough driving

Car is very noisy on the road and has a rough driving feel as you are driving it. New car has apparent inherent problem when Audi Connect is turned on by subscription... the radio constantly intermittently will cut out and 5 seconds later come back on. This happens all day long. This is very annoying. Audi is aware of it as their technical service bulletin confirms it. The bulletin states to "please explain to the customer that this behavior is caused by external influence and is not a quality issue with the vehicle." They say there is no fix for it. I personally find that this issue lowers the quality and value of this luxury vehicle. If the Audi Connect isn't subscribed to then there is not a problem with the radio but then you can't use the Audi Connect which is a wonderful feature of this luxury car. In addition to this they sent out a letter three months after I purchased the new S5 extending the warranty on the piston skirt to 8 years or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first. They will repair it at no cost to you if a diagnosis confirms that the piston skirt has failed from a defect in material and/or workmanship. There is not a fix for it ... so they tell you that you have to wait until there is a problem before they will fix it. Potential problems, research shows could possibly be an engine seizure or failure, among other problems. You are then driving a car waiting for a potential serious problem to happen not knowing when it can happen. This then becomes a safety issue than can also affect the value and use of the car.
