I recently purchased a BMW M850i Convertible coming off a three-year lease, with a portion of the 4-year/36,000-mile factory warranty still intact. An incredible high-end luxury performance car that I couldn't afford new. I transitioned to this vehicle from a C7 Corvette Z51 Convertible, which, despite its excellent performance, had become too uncomfortable for my wife and I on extended road trips. Seeking a vehicle that retained the high-performance spirit of the Corvette while offering superior ride quality, I selected the M850i.The BMW has surpassed expectations in nearly every category critical to my wife and me. It delivers significantly reduced cabin wind noise during top-down driving, exceptional comfort, impressive acceleration (clocking 3.1 to 3.7 seconds), and outstanding stability courtesy of the xDrive AWD system and four-wheel steering. Additionally, the exhaust note, premium audio system, and highly responsive infotainment center make for an exceptional driving experience. Admittedly, online research regarding the historical reliability of BMW’s 4.4L V8 (N63) engine can be concerning. However, my vehicle features the updated N63TU3 variant, which possesses a significantly improved maintenance and reliability record compared to its predecessors. While the historical stigma surrounding the N63 engine remains, securing an extended protection plan like CarShield offers essential peace of mind for long-term ownership.

I have driven many BMW’s but this one surpasses them. Not only does it have an amazing look but the feel and sound of a V8 is no comparison. I can leave it in comfort mode and relax or put in Sport and everything changes. I hope BMW leaves this one alone along with the M5 and not make into the electric garbage with these horrible grills.

I had owned a used BMW650i for 10 years and love the car for the look, size, performance and value. I decided to finally upgrade to a new 2023 BMW 850i. The car is incredible. The Horsepower is outstanding and the car drives like a machine. It has power, handling, and is sporty but you still feel like you have a full car you are driving.
