Terrible car to own

I owned a BMW 2010 x3 and it's the worst car I've ever owned. Aesthetically, it's beautiful. Everything about it was great except for the reliability. It's broken down so many times. The carfax was great and it was perfect for the first month or so. Some important info: 1. Even with a great carfax, make sure you get a ppi. If you can, buy it certified. 2. Lots of engine issues and battery died quickly. 3. Make sure you check the seals in the trunk as our battery compartment got flooded due to leaks. 4. The car constantly shuddered even though it was serviced on a regular basis. The mechanic couldn't figure out what it was. 5. The sensors kept going off even though the mechanic said there were no major issues to set them off. I've done a lot of research and I'd only think about a x3 2016 and up. Will buy a 2017 x3 to see how much better it is than our current car.

I would never buy or take one for free?!!!!!! N

BMW is junk. Drives good butt parts are very high and there is problems around every corner. I had 3 a 330i,x5.and I have an x3 now. Will never buy a BMW again. BMW does not stand behind there junk. Once you buy it you need a lot of money to keep it going?!! Ok

4.1

Most comfortable driving SUV I have.

I love BMW X3, a drive machine. Not luxury but very comfortable driving. Right size. I bought 2019 BMW X3 again recently after driving 2010 BMW X3 for over 9 years. So I need to sale my 2010 BMW X3.

4.1

Relyability Unknown but so far easier to Maintain

Bought the car because my son has a BMW and have worked on it a fair amount. Compared to the Volvo that it is replacing, I have not owned it long enough to know if it is more reliable but it is definitely easier to work on.

Typical BMW Quality and Performance

I bought this car new and only drove it about 5,000 miles a year. It is reasonably fuel efficient and in "sport" mode is really fun to drive. Exterior and interior are in excellent condition because the car was always garaged.

4.4

A sleek design and ride

I bought this car used this past October. It drives very smoothly and has been very reliable on many long road trips. I had to replace the starter and then the service light went on a week later and I as told there were emissions coming from the gas tank due to the gasket not being closed fully. Despite these two problems, I have felt safe driving in the vehicle.

4.9

Very Reliable car, has bullet engine as per dealer

all leather seats are heated front and back. Great panoramic moon roof, great strong leather seats, seats have memory, original bmw wheels. Tinted rear windows.

I LOVE THIS BMW X3

Love this car and the more I drive it the more I love it Was Leary of BMW primarily because I?ve heard they can be expensive to fix and maintain but we went to test drive an x3 and found out that an extended warranty can be purchased (I bought the car and a lifetime unlimited miles warranty that covers the motor, and the all wheel drive transmission. You can also buy more full coverage warranties. I would recommend finding a mechanic who will work on BMW?s for peace of mind as dealerships are always much more expensive. Having said all that I feel this car will be very dependable after talking with several BMW owners watching videos reading articles about BMW I feel that this X3 is a great car. Admittedly I am learning every day about the features. It is not the most tech savvy car but it has an aux cable albeit in the rear of the console and a great 8 speaker sound system the 2010 is the tail end of the 1 st generation X3 the 2nd generation started in 2011 with upgraded computer but what I have found is that you can put an aftermarket Bluetooth stereo in it if you so desire The bottom line is this car drives great handles great it is a six speed transmission the lower gears can be a little quirky but it accelerates wonderfully and it is a joy to drive The interior is well put together with solid leather I read all kinds of things about that I?m comfortable seats but I find them comfortable I?m 6 feet 200 pounds I would highly recommend reading about this car and watching videos about it but at the end of the day it is a great buy you will not regret it
