2009 Chevrolet Aveo consumer reviews

Normally I wouldn't write reviews, but I feel like this was needed. Most unreliable car. I got the car back in May of this year, and right away there was a noise coming from the hood. I was reassured the noise would be fixed, and it was. Not even a month later, it starts having starting issues, and since I had a warranty off the car lot I bought it from it was taken care of. Then it does it again not too long, and I'm told if it repeats it would get fixed. Then my heater hose and head gasket goes out as I'm driving on the highway, and it starts over heating. Worst Thing Ever! Luckily I was under warranty for this repair as well. Now however, speedometer stopped working, as well as the speed sensor, and my tire light is on. Which I took it to a tire shop and they said the pressure was fine. All in all DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!! You will be in for costly repairs and a headache.

I recent just got this car. It works well and smooth. The car a bit small but comfortable. It has a clean interior and exterior.

Bought the 2009 Aveo used with one previous owner and 55,000 miles on it. Put on 50,000 more miles within the three years of having it and I've never owned a car that has been in and out of the garage so often with repairs. Routine maintenance was done on top of new spark plugs, O2 sensors, starter, 3 coolant hoses, and transmission repairs. After the coolant hoses went it was a downward spiral of more repairs that I just could not afford so I ended up trading it in. Potential repairs included the head gasket, needing a whole new engine, electrical issues, and more transmission issues. I've seen other reviews that start listing problems once it hits 100K so I would advise to get rid of it before you can!

The car was comfortable and compact. Great use of space. Wonderful, cozy interior. Meets all my needs in a car. Drives very smooth on the road and has a great turn radius.

I love it never will go back to a four wheel drive although I had one but I just fell love with this little car that I can't say nothing to much wrong with it

I test drove this car and it was about average. I like the shape of it but it wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked it to be. Good car if you need one though, highly recommend it as a very cheep and reliable car, just not the most comfortable to drive.

I love this car!!! This is the second car I have owned and I couldn?t be happier with it! It drives very well and is perfect for me.

Great leg room both front and back. Quiet engine. Runs perfect for going back and forth for Church, Doctor Appointments and all in all a wonderful vehicle to drive in. Very affordable price for a small sized wagon. Comfortable seats. Gets great gas mileage and would recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants a vehicle at a very affordable price in today's market.
