Purchased the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer RS AWD 1/2024.

Purchased the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer RS AWD 1/2024. The vehicle for the first year of driving went well. Overall nice-looking car, smooth ride, wide comfortable seats. Over time this Blazer become a nightmare for me and my family, especially me since I was the primary driver. Now as of 12/26/25, mileage 43,000. Let's start with the first few months, first problem when putting the car in reverse, it would not go into reverse, then shifted it back into park and back into reverse, still would not reverse, put the car in park then back to reverse it finally shifted right, over the two years I owned the car it did this several times. Second problem was it started shifting out with a jerk/hard shift when pulling out from stopping at a light or stop sign. Third problem was it is terrible on wet roads, just from the rain, it would spin when I would pull out and I did not pull out fast, it was even more dangerous on snow covered roads, at a crawl it would just slide, worst traction ever. I have been told it's because Blazers are light weight. Ok, Now the worst problem with the Blazer, is the brakes, they are a joke. Just recently My family and I were heading toward the Interstate, all of a sudden, the front of the car stated making a loud beating noise in the front of the car. We immediately pulled over, got out to look at the front of the car and discovered the right front wheel had a strong odor of burnt smell; the rim was hot enough to burn a person. Had to have it towed to Chevrolet dealer shift service department, my car sat there for a week before they finally checked it out and discovered that the brakes were trying to lock up on us. The repairs to be made took two weeks due to having trouble getting a part. The Right Front Caliper, front rotor and brake pad was destroyed, burnt up. Had to have right front caliper, both brakes pads both rotors had to be replaced. costing me near 1,000.00 dollars. The day I finally got to pick up my car, now this place was an hour and half from my home. Now this is not the only problems, the last straw for me the very same day I picked up my car and got back to home I had to make a stop, turned off my car, when getting back into my car and started it, the Park service light came on. I called to let the service department know, they told me that that is an issue with the back brake system, has nothing to do with the front, Was informed to bring it back to them and they would check it in and do diagnostic testing and let me know how much it would cost to fix that problem. Contacted GM Motors to make them aware of the danger that could have caused a serious accident with the bakes doing this. All I got from them is there no recalls so there's nothing on their part can be done. I ask them were they waiting for someone contacting them of fatal accident because of faulty brakes. I thank GOD that we were not on the interstate and the brakes lock up on us then.

32,000 miles and already been in shop twice. Leaking oil and needed a new muffler. Parts take forever and a week to arrive. $40,000 and Chevy puts 30k mile tires on it. And then the paint job, worst paint I’ve ever seen. Chips all over the vehicle. First Chevy I’ve ever owned and might be my last. Definitely will never buy a Chevy made in Mexico again but that goes for any vehicle I buy. American cars should be made in America.

We are enjoying our 2024 Blazer RS so far.

We are enjoying our 2024 Blazer RS so far. It is very comfortable and quiet. The driving dynamics are great, very responsive and smooth over rough roads. This is the first Chevrolet I've owned in a couple decades, mostly due to inferior interior fit and finish. But in this car it is done well, although hard plastics on the top of the doors do not make a nice resting spot for my elbow. Also it takes a little bit to get use to judging the front end clearance when parking. Other then that, I have found the build quality to be right there with most foreign competitors in this segment. That said, you have to pay extra for things like adaptive cruise and some other features that are standard on the competitions upper trim levels. Only other issue is the lack sight lines out the back, the pillars are very thick and the window small. Definitely need the blind spot monitoring. Overall this is a nice SUV to drive, comfortable with sporty handling and good looks.

2024 Blazer RS

We love our 2024 Blazer RS. As a mid-size SUV, there is plenty of room for 5 and ample cargo space. The design is slick and we have had several folks ask us about the vehicle and features. The 3.6 liter provides great performance, especially for the vehicle type.
