The Coolest Affordable EV
This car is a step into the future and really the first of it?s kind. It has a range of about 230 miles at a price range of $350000...in comparison, a BMW I3 starts off at $45000 and only has a range of 150 miles (with a range extender).

Extremely Fun, reliable, and economical.
Love the idea of an electric car. We need something easy to get in following back surgery and this for the bill. The car is ready to charge and in town during the summer has a range of 240 miles with a full charge and the rest of the year gets 300 miles per full charge. Virtually no maintenance and very economical to operate.

Off the grid
I purchased this EV because I wanted to reduce my footprint as much as possible. My house is completely solar-powered, and I wanted a vehicle that did not use gas. I looked at the E-Golf and the Nissan Leaf, and decided the bolt was my best possible choice. Fortunately, I purchased the only one available in Missouri because Chevrolet has not geared up to market EVs in this part of the country yet. I enjoy the car; its road performance is outstanding, its comfort is adequate for me and I'm now completely off the grid. No more checking prices at gas stations! Of course the State of Missouri understands that I will no longer be paying tax at the pump, so they compensated by charging me an extra $75 per annum for registration of my EV!

Wave of the Future - It is an Awesome Car
I did a lot of research before I made my purchase. My choice was between the Nissan Leaf and the Chevy Bolt. I took both vehicles for a weekend test drive with the same driving course. The Leaf has a more refined interior (my opinion) and I like that the charge port on the Leaf is in the center front of the vehicle; but otherwise, the Bolt won out on every other category. The only thing I don't like about the Bolt is the seats and the dash (i.e., the interior looks and feels "cheap" and "chintzy"). But literally everything else - and I do mean everything (i.e., vehicle range, handling, intuitiveness, battery life, safety, driving experience, price/value, size of battery, liquid cooling system) - is well thought out and well engineered. Chevy is winning awards for this vehicle and these awards are well deserved. Top Ten Consumer Reports. One thing says it all: I picked up the Bolt at the dealership with 212 miles range. I dropped the Bolt off at the dealership after my weekend test drive at 160 miles range. I picked up the Leaf at the dealership with 160 miles range. After my test drive, I had to charge the Leaf twenty (20) hours in order to drive it back to the dealership to return the vehicle. Range matters. I have no range anxiety whatsoever with the Chevy Bolt. I would worry a whole lot if I had bought the Nissan Leaf. Another thing: the Nissan Leaf has a five (5) page "disclosure and disclaimer" that basically negates the "battery warranty." I am writing this as an attorney; the document with its fine print undermines nearly everything Nissan promises with its battery. Chevy has no such comparable "disclosure and disclaimer" with respect to its battery. The Chevy Bolt battery apparently does not need "fine print" chalk full of loopholes and disclaimers which appears to have been written by an entire team of lawyers. I would not have signed the document Nissan wants its Leaf buyers to sign. And obviously, I did not buy a Nissan Leaf. Buyer beware if you are in the market for an electric vehicle. A comment: If charging infrastructure were just a smidgen better in the mid-west, the Bolt could be my only vehicle. This is a Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Detroit, Louisville, Indianapolis, Dayton and Pittsburgh car. It is not a Denver, Nashville, St. Louis, Boston, New York and Bangor car. (At least, not yet it isn't.) I hope, as electric vehicles catch on, the problem of lack of charging infrastructure will resolve itself. I am using the vehicle as a commuter car and I am in the process of installing a 240 Volt home charging system. So these drawbacks are not an issue for me. I have literally slashed my fuel costs to next to nothing (i.e., I still have a gasoline engine vehicle for longer trips). Maintenance on the Bolt is tires and brakes and air filter for the cabin. Oh, and did I mention the $7,500 federal tax credit that is taken off of the tax owed (and not off of the adjusted gross income)? This car is the wave of the future.

Finally! An EV I love to own.
Absolutely love this car. I test drove Tesla as I was planning on a Model 3. But after test driving it and then test driving the Bolt, I chose the Bolt for a number of reasons including price point, range and support for both Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The Tesla does not support Apple or Android. I had range anxiety at first - especially during my first long range trip to another state but after the first trip, I have learned a few things and now I am confident I could make just about any trip I wanted around the country. Just plan on some additional time and timing as some charge stations are behind locked gates during after business hours. But - this is a car that is WAY under marketed and in my opinion could be a Tesla killer for most of us.

My first electric vehicle
Upon getting a new job requiring 110 miles of driving per day I decided to get an electric vehicle both for the fuel cost savings and the reduced environmental impact. I needed an ev with a 200 mile battery range and there were only two currently on the market which met this - the Tesla Model 3 and the Chevy Bolt. The Bolt had excellent reviews, was available immediately, and was a more practical car for someone who uses his car to transport an 18' sea kayak to races throughout Florida. So, the Bolt was really the only choice and it has met all expectations. It's fun to drive with plenty of acceleration, has a 238 mile battery range (I've driven 200 mile roundtrips and still had over 40 miles left on the battery), and with a roof rack I've transported my kayak 98 miles to a recent race which the car handled with no issues. On the drive back from the race, in addition to my kayaking gear - and the kayak on the roof - I had 2 passengers in the car.

Best GM/Chevy Product since the Corvair
I was a GM product customer/user through the late 1980's when I decided that I would never consider purchasing anything from GM ever again because of the poor product quality and abominable customer service. Driving the Bolt was a revelation and confirmation that someone at GM and Detroit was again producing great products. The Bolt is simple, well built and so far trouble free. Also, Service from John L. Sullivan Chevrolet in Roseville, CA has been excellent. Kudos to Steve White a long time GM Service Guy who stuck with GM through it all. Plus, it doesnt have any oil leaks like 2 of the 3 Corvairs I had.

Fast acceleration
I like electric vehicles , prev car was Nissan Leaf but the Chevy Bolt has 240 mile range . There's no maintenance except for tire rotations . Downside is the trade in value is low for EV's that is why I decided to lease . My 3yr old Nissan leaf with 10K miles trade-in was $9500 for a car costing $40k. I should have leased the Nissan

I will be purchasing one soon
I am sick of watching the experts feeling the dash of this car and saying it is cheap plastic. As if is wood grain would make this car so much better. Is all come down to the battery and this car excels in two ways. 1. Range which is underestimated by all accounts people have achieved a range over 250 miles. 2. The battery heating and cooling is by far the best of all EV's that will extend the batteries life by a large margin. This vehicle has set the bar to a higher standard. While the complains of this car are standard. 1. No electric seats which was done to save on weight. It may have cost the 5-10 miles in range to add this feature. 2. No navigation. 3. The tires do not grip in extreme acceleration. That being said this is still the most equipped at its price point with the most range. Chevy has hit a home run with the only car to compete with the tesla model 3. Which you do not hear people complaining about the awkward 10" tablet mounted in the center of the car or the low rear seating which you find your knees in your chest or the small trunk. None of these things do you find in a bolt which to me are much bigger issues

LOVE my Bolt!
I really wanted an electric vehicle. Tesla was outside of our price range, and honestly, I'm nervous about the long-term viability of Tesla as a company. The Chevy Bolt was an obvious choice. Amazing range - 240 miles and more! FUN FUN FUN to drive! And quite roomy in the back seat and trunk area. With the tax credit or without it, I am confident that I would have purchased this car.
