My next electric car

The power and space is wonderful. I couldn't believe the legs and head room that I explained. It is very quiet . The fast charge is one of the things that I was impressed with.

It?s an EV that anyone can own.

This truly is an amazing vehicle. It?s larger on the inside than you might think and the EV range is phenomenal. If you are waiting for a Tesla Model 3, you may want to consider this vehicle as well.

A giant leap for mankind

This is a great car. No, it is not a luxury vehicle, it is not a Tesla but it is a long range EV that exists, can be purchased now and is a lot of fun to drive.

Smart EV!

This car is fun to drive, an outstanding value, and the first real electric vehicle available for ANYBODY! Charging is best with fast charger when on the road. Join a network! At home a level 2 charger was easy to install and use. Average mileage available indicator has been spot on! Only issue I have is with flimsy cargo floor when seats are folded. It does not lock in place and when seats are down and you put a pet in the back, cargo floor shifts at edge by back seats and animal could fall in and break legs or be otherwise injured. Design adjustment needed here.

I absolutely love this car

This car is absolutely everything I wanted. One of my favorite things is that it uses Android auto and doesn't have it's own proprietary software that gets in the way.

No footprint

I love my new car. It's fun to drive and I love not leaving a footprint on our precious earth! Everything about it is great. It is just the right size. Not too big, not too small. Very comfortable seating, love the seat warmer front and back. I love not having to go to fill up at the gas station.

Bolt a giant step into the future

It performs better than just about all the cars in it's class. The efficiency and features are ahead of all the others. One of the most important items is battery life and performance. This design has liquid cooling which is far better than others like the LEAF or KIA SOUL EV or new Hyundai IONIQ. That one feature can save you thousands over the other designs.

One of the best EVs on the market

The Bolt comes highly rated from different car and consumer organizations and is one of the best out there as of now. It's car goes farther than most on one charge and is it is easy to find charging stations around the Bay Area. I am thrilled to finally not be polluting the air and love the fact I will not have regular maintenance fees like with a traditional gas car. All the rebates (state, federal, PG&E) are also a plus.

Bare minimum

Claims 221 miles on a fully charged battery but I haven't had a chance to test drive. Inside is very bare bone; doesn't even have back speakers.

terrific car

My wife and I have now purchased a 2nd Bolt, so we're a 2 Bolt family. We believe the car is extraordinarily well designed; it's tremendous fun to drive; it's handling and performance are on a par with vastly more expensive vehicles (e.g. Porsches), and most importantly its range sets it apart from its competition because, in contrast to most of its competition, it easily gets 230 to 250 miles per charge. We've had only 1 minor problem with the car. The car has a sharply sloped front windscreen. We live in southern California. Our cars sit outside in the sun at work and at home. The result is the electrical components just under the dash get hot. This causes them to malfunction (the electronic displays suddenly don't work, or start behaving in a weird and erratic fashion). The problem is easily solved....we simply purchased a silver coated windscreen shield. This folds easily into the back seat area, and then before we leave the car in the sun we simply deploy this shield on the inside of windscreen. The keeps the car cooler and more importantly the electrical components don't overheat and malfunction. Other than this easily fixed problem, we love the car and pretty much everything about it. We charge our cars at night using low peak only electricity. This means the monthly running costs of our Bolts are just a fraction of the gasoline fueled cars we used to drive. Additionally they are far more convenient than gas cars because they're always 'fully fueled' each morning. Our only other concern re these vehicles is road trips. Tesla has an already fully built out network of fast chargers across the country. These charge stations are not compatible with the Bolt. While there are plenty of charge stations for Bolts in all the major metropolitan areas (where you don't really need them because we 'refuel' at home in the evening), with a couple of exceptions, there are not enough fast charge stations between the large metropolitan areas.....making road trips things that have to be carefully planned in advance. In fact over the Christmas/New Year period we went on a long road trip up the west coast, but after looking into charge stations, we ended up renting a gasoline fueled SUV to do the road trip. We hope that GM and it charge partners quickly build out a network of fast chargers across the country outside of and between the cities, because we're very much looking forward to taking our Bolt on road trips. To all the folks at GM who designed the Bolt - congratulations and best wishes. Keep up the good work.
