GREAT CAR
THIS VEHICLE DRIVES VERY SMOOTH.THE WAY THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS YOU STEP ON THE GAS PEDAL HALF WAY AND LET THE VEHICLE SHIFT INTO GEAR. IT IS VERY ROOMY, I COMPARED IT WITH THE FORTE,THE OPTIMA, VOLKSWAGON JETTA,THE ELANTRA AND ALWAYS RETURN TO THE CRUZE DON'T REGRET BUYING IT RIDES LIKE A DREAM.

Great Car
I get a kick out of people that take a look at my new Cruze and say, " Yeah, it looks nice but it's a Chevy." I spent nearly 3 months researching, test driving, and reading reviews like this one on pretty much every car in this price range. BY FAR, the best car out there. I've had my Chevy Cruze LT for about 4 months now, and I love it!! USB for my Ipod, Hands free calling, OnStar, Cruise Control and Radio controls on the steering wheel, I average 30.2 mpg with mixed driving, 6 speed auto, 10 AIR BAGS(no one else has that). The interior is amazingly stunning. The only things I would possibly say bad about it is they could do something more edgy or aggressive with the back end. It seems a little blah. And the transmission could use some refinement. Not by any means deal breakers. Open your mind and don't be a fool who thinks you can only get good cars from foreign automakers, CHEVY has the best one right here.

The new GM is here! :)
I recently bought my 2011 Cruze LS and I have nothing, but good things to say about it and have recieved alot of compliments. The ride is nice and quiet, I'm averaging 30.4 mpg with a mix of highway and city driving, the seats are very comfortable, and there is a TON of technology packed into this little car...yes,even the LS model! 10 standard airbags, blue tooth, XM radio, Onstar, nice and easy to read displays for the radio and driver information center. You won't find these great options on any other car for this price. I love the layout of the dash and radio controls. Everything is right where is should be and is easy use. The two-tone interior gives the car a sporty feel from inside, while its not a racer by any stretch of the imagination, this car does what it was designed to do and does it very well. The Cruze is just a good all-American car! Thank you GM and hats off to those who assembled the car in Lordstown, Ohio. Keep up the good work!

I am completly in love with my cruze but the only thing i'm extremly dissapointed in is there is no cruise control, on a car thats called the chevy CRUZE! I don't know what chevy was thinking...i wasn't aware of the no cruise control until i tried to use it on the highway. Other then the no cruise control i have nothing else bad to say. I love this car!!

Best Value For $
Car picking is subjective. We all have different tastes, I know this. That being said, here is what i needed and got. I wanted a second car for commuting, i wanted a minimum mpg of 34hwy, no more then $20k. I test drove all the usual suspects..Corolla, Civic, Jetta, Fiesta, and a car I never heard of, Chevy Cruze..i did the test drives in one weekend so the comparisson was fresh in my mind..I went in thinking i was going to pick the Jetta or Civic. After i test drove the Chevy Cruze 1lt, the other cars just did not compare. Again that is a personal choice and i'm not saying that the Chevy is the best car. the other cars were great and were exactly what i thought they would be, great. For me, the Chevy was the quitest ride, it felt like it had the most room, and esthetically was more pleasing. My second choice would have been the Jetta..Anyway, after driving the Chevy for 3 weeks I am very impressed. I have a 100 mile commute each day in mixed traffic. 80% fwy traffic and 20% city driving. I have been averaging 36mpg!!! that is more then advertised. The car is super quite on the freeway, has a bunch of cool features, xm, Ipod, USB, etc..and it is fun to drive..I feel like I made a good choice..

2011 Chevy Cruze 1LT
I needed a cummuter car to complement my 07' Escalade..I drive 115 miles per day 5 days a week. I test drove the Civic 4dr and coupe, Ford Fiesta, Ford Fusion, VW Jetta, Dodge Avenger(Dodge was the worst car of the lot by the way)..After test driving all of the others, the closest thing was the Civic but it was too loud at freeway speeds and the dash was awkward..anyway..I chose the Cruze based on 1) ride comfort and quiteness 2) mpg 3) feature set and overall looks (personal preferance)..I have been driving it for two weeks and the thing that I am most impressed with is the gas mileage..Out of the 115 miles per day, I drive 80 miles on the HWY (fairly heavy traffic) ..the rest in the city..I have averaged 36.4 miles for the last two weeks of driving!!!..This is even better than what the car is rated for..It is quite, easy to handle, and with the XM radio and Ipod conections is a pleasure to dive..The negative thing for me, the seats are too hard they could be softer..I am 5'9 muscular build and weigh 220lbs..I fit well in the car but over the long commute a softer seat would be great..Also, I would like to see the antenna replaced with one of those fin options..I think it would make the car look sportier too, not that it's a sports car..The main thing again is the quiteness of the ride and the mpg..I am stoked about this car...

GM dropped the Ball on this One!
I used to own an Impala and, I loved that car. It was big and roomy, and it had a powerful V-6. Since the fuel economy is skyrocketing, I figured to purchase the Chevy Cruze. Although the exterior is somewhat impressive, I was not really excited about the interior. The controls were meshed togther, and I was quite embarrassed when I grabbed my friend's leg by mistake while I was turning the heater off. Also, the middle consol was too small with me since my elbow was constantly slipping off from it. I was having trouble adjusting the my seat as well as side view mirror. (I'm not that tall -- only 5'9".) And, the "B" column was right in my line of sight. These things I can get used to, however; there are two major problems that I am having with this car. One is the engine and, the other is the transmission. The car has a 1.4L ECOTEC engine. The engine was rated at 22-26/35-38. I got 25 MPH in the city and 30 MPH on the highway. The engine is sluggish at best. From a dead stop, it seems to me that the engine wants to stall, or worst yet, a jack-rabbit start. I have taken this car to dealership to get it fixed. Hopefully, it was just a computer glitch. However, the engine was not manufactured in America, rather in Austria. There is a company that GM owns, Opel, that manufactures these engines. The transmission is the biggest problem out of the two. The six-speed seems to lag at best. I have noticed that it shifts around 7,000 RPM. I have taken this car to the dealership twice arleady to get this problem fixed. And, yet, I am having the same problem. Also, the transmission was manufactured in Mexico. I am hoping that GM will give a recall notice for this problem. The shell of the car was manufactured in South Korea. The final assembly is located at Lordstown, OH, the same place where they made the Cavalier and the Cobalt. So, technically, this car is not a "true" American car.

Can't Say Enough Good Things About This Car!
My husband wanted to look at the Chevy Cruze after reading the safety ratings. I have been a Subaru owner for years and wasn't really interested in a Chevy compact. Not to take anything away from Subarus, which I love (and we still own), but I drove away in my new Cruze that very day. The value for the money was unbeatable, in my opinion. Blue tooth, back-up warning signal, electronic power steering, 10 air bags, 43 mpg, alloy wheels, remote start from my Android phone, USB port, MP3 compatible, On Star, etc, all for less than $20,000. The seats are very comfortable and have great back support. The car is fun to drive and very quiet. It is averaging 30 to 31mpg in town. I just really love this car and my husband does too! My son couldn't believe I bought a Chevy Cruze and gave me a hard time about it until I handed him the keys and he drove it. He came back saying "I actually really like it!" Enough said!

Cruze beats the Corolla and Civic
I think that the Cruze, especially in the base LS model, is a better looking and better feeling car than the obvious consumer magazines darlings of the last twenty years. I looked at all the competitions models and thought they looked like very basic plastic junk wagons. The Cruze looks like a small Cadillac on the outside and especially on the inside. And it made me realize that many people have been brainwashed into thinking that a cheap looking car is gold and that anything with the name Chevy on it is poorly designed.

Awesome Ride!!
This car totally impressed me!! I have owned various GM vehicles: Cavaliers, Silverado, Saturns...but this one is BY FAR the best of them all. This car performs remarkably well for a 4 cyl engine. It has ample "pep" to get up and go when the time comes where you need that; while at the same time under normal situations the car is relaxed and smooth. I can barely feel the transmission as it shifts gears; I love using the built in bluetooth with my Android phone because it makes my commute to and from work on a Military Installation much easier since driving and holding a mobile telephone is forbidden. I can answer my calls right from the steering wheel controls. Its great!! The seats are very comfortable, the cabin is VERY roomy. Compared to the Cavalier I traded in for the Cruze, I feel like I am riding in a $40000 car not a $21000 car. The interior is very modern, stylish, and will appeal to a broad spectrum of consumers. This car is not just a family car, or a womans car, or a dude's car...it is a car that caters to anyone's tastes and preferences. No, it doesnt come in a coupe, but I prefer 4 doors anyways since they usually have lower insurance and they allow you to transport passengers in the backseat much easier since the front seat passenger doesnt have to get out, flip the seat forward, let them out, push the seat back, and get back in.
