2009 Chevrolet Equinox consumer reviews

This car seemed perfect, even buying slightly used at just over 140k. Then transmission goes out 2 months later after 2500 miles driven. Took to repair man, amazingly this car is his best business for rebuilding transmission, to the point he has all the parts for rebuild in stock. If the tranny can't get out of second then you can't drive it. Manual didn't work either. Shame on chevy for not recalling or replacing these tranny that are obviously making transmission repair people.a ton of money while killing us small town people who buy your products based on a trust in the manufacturer to make them last as long as possible, we are too poor in this day and age to try to put up another 3500 2 months after buying a chevy with the belief it would last well past 200k, what happened to keeping the customers happy therefore loyal

It's great love it, awd great family car, I love the color, love that it is awd, nice 4 door, great gas mileage, roomy enough for the kids

Runs Great, good condition, no rust, excellent engine, great AC/H system, clean interior, perfect tiers, no oil leak, good breaks, good lighting, good parking light.

The 2015 had a two year warranty on it still, rode and drove really nice and was in our price range. Very happy with the gas mileage and seems to have decent power for the 2.4.

After talking to 2 others who have owned a 2009 Equinox I found out the both had transmission problems. One had issues after just one year, but it was covered under warranty. The other person had to replace their transmission at 90,000. Neither would ever buy a Chevy again. Too bad I didn't talk to them before my purchase last year. Now I am forking out $5000 for a new transmission.

This car was fine until the paint just started blowing off of it. It had BAD FACTORY PAINT/primer on it!!!! There appears to be no recall although many other owners on the internet have experienced the same problem! Don?t buy any more Chevrolets!!! Problem solved that way!

My internet homework informed me that 2009 Chevy Equinox was a great used vehicle to purchase. Thomas Kia in Highland, Indiana had the only one in NW Indiana. I received a great deal and I am very happy with my beautiful used 2009 Chevy Equinox.

This car met my needs ,family needs, church also it had so much life .now I looking for another. Bought it new 2008. It was well worth it 2018 had to release it to many miles I already told my friends and they bought 2010, 2015 some but 2008. It's great.give me a chance I can sell those chevy's.im a witness.

I Love my Equinox, its a dependable vehicle, and i would recommend it to anyone, i like the way it looks, drives, and for the price you cannot beat it!
