Believer
I've driven nothing but Mopars, but when I had a rental Impala for a week, I was not disappointed. The Impala looks bland, but maybe thats why it sells. To be honest I wouldn't use any of that fancy stuff found on more expensive cars. I like to drive not play with gadgets. The 3.5L engine had good pickup for a full size sedan, it's not a racecar. What really impressed me was going to 40-0 right now. One disappointment beside the styling-NO hill holder.

Easiest Purchase
I started out using the newspaper and spent most of one day arguing with the salesman I didn't trust and didn't like. I then started with cars.com. I chose what I wanted, went to a reputable dealership, drove the car, and purchased it for the price listed on cars.com. It was very hot; Labor Day weekend, but I got what I wanted and it was a totally different experience. I won't hestiate to use cars.com. I love my Imipala and so far it has been an excellent choice. The car had been used in corporate leasing and had about 30,000 miles on it. The deal was really great.

what a turkey
Rented one of these for a long weekend roadtrip and spent a lot of time behind the wheel. It was an LT, and it was decked out. Other friends rented a mercury milan. The milan had a smaller engine, more power, better handling, more features, and better styling. I had to really mash the accelerator to pass on the highway. Interior had some really cheap looking materials, including that rough textured rubbery plastic that Chevy has been using for interiors since the 1990's. The stereo was lame, the sunroof didn't open except for a small crack, the windows squealed when you let them down, and the dashboard had tiny buttons everywhere. I watched with envy as my friends drove the sleek, quick, fun to drive Milan behind me.

Two Design Flaws in Impala LTZ 2010
Have had and driven many Impalas. The Impala 2010 is sleek and splendid and dignified looking inside and out. The lower lumbar support on the LTZ is WAY improved from the LT - Big Time. The leather seats help; however need to be softer. The whole design of functions and so forth is very intuitive and logical - quite wonderful. And OnStar is Really Great! Two important design flaws: on the 2010 Impala, the headrest is pushed about an inch TOO FAR FORWARD! Chevy claims this is a safety feature, but is in wrong position causing neck, head, and sholder aches and requires driving in an odd position. The head rest on the 2008 Impala LT was PERFECT. Also, the inner sunroof shade does not go back all the way - it needlessly stops almost 2 inches short of uncovering all of the glass. The dealer will not mend either of these design flaws. If i had been fully aware of this, especially the head-rest, i would have continued to search for a different car to upgrade to this year.

great car
Smooth, quiet, comfortable and it has a great sound system. Plus onstar and xm radio, you couldnt ask anything more from a family sedan. Its not a cadillac but its close! I drive 100 miles a day and i love it!

A boat of a vehicle for a rental
Not a great riding vehicle. It is a little dated. The gas petal is of poor design. It pushes back against your foot which makes it very difficult to drive on long trips. I rented this vehicle a week after renting a Chevy Malibu. The malibu handled much better and was a better all around designed vehicle. Although the Malibu could have used an additional 12v outlet. There are 2 on the malibu and 3 on the Impala. Overall If I were to have to pick which vehicle I would purchase between the two. I would choose the Malibu it is a much better value for the money and is a much better handling vehicle.
