very reliable truck

by bocachevy from south florida on Sat Feb 18 2012

Bought this truck brand new in 06 and has been very reliable. Has never been in the shop for repair with over 132,000 miles. I change the oil every 5000 and it barely burns any oil. One of the best trucks I have ever owned. You cant go wrong with truck.

The Pull Anything Truck

by DirtyMax from Rawlins , Wyoming on Mon Jul 25 2016

Bought this truck in 2007 , I have found it to be very reliable but not quite up to the standards I have been used to in the older GM vehicles . Overall the truck seems tinny and fragile for a 1 ton truck . The ride quality is good for a 1 ton , but the leather bound bucket seats get quite uncomfortable after a full day of driving. I have had issues with the SRS (airbag) System at about 32K , headlight switch at 40K , front wheel bearing at 45K , steering shaft knock and worn out linkage at 60K

worst truck ever owned

by mike from Kimberly,al. on Sat Nov 05 2011

Bought the truck in 07 brand new. General tires gone at 20k miles. Started burning oil at 70K miles, GM says that it had normal oil usage?? Battery died, brakes gone, and now at 144K miles the transmission is out.

Our Take on the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 3500

Not that long ago, heavy-duty pickups were beasts of burden: If you had to tow a 13,000-pound trailer, you needed an industrial-strength truck. Problem was, those pickups were pretty industrial in every other aspect, too.

No longer. The 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD has all the creature comforts you'd expect in a Cadillac -- leather upholstery, an excellent sound system with XM satellite radio, power adjustable pedals -- but purists can rest assured that, as a connection to the olden days, the 2500HD still rides like a buckboard.

Before Nissan, and then this year Toyota, entered the full-size pickup truck market, it was perhaps the last remaining true stronghold of the U.S. brands. Nissan and Toyota... Read More
