I think if 2007 is a recall for airbage and wire faults
I think if 2007 is a recall for airbage and wire faults my 2005 Chrysler 300c have airbag EPS/BAS lights on. When you turn the heat or the AC the smell of burning wire as of now I can not run the unit. If one is a recall all should be recalled. Not happy about this?

Powerful “boss” car.
When I first saw this car I thought it may have belonged to a mafia boss. It was deep lava red (dark purple) with lots of chrome and solid wood interior accent pieces. I am 6’4 and have no problem fitting in the car. Unfortunately though I have to duck to see the traffic light as my line of sight is blocked by the liner and visors. The smaller windows and high door frames create a “boss” look but also blind spots. Very careful when changing lanes. I love the grey leather interior, Boston stereo/sound system and power sunroof. This is also the first V8 I have ver owned. It feels like a muscle car. The 340 HP helped me get out of a few dicey situations. I also appreciate the deactivation of 4 cylinders when I cruise to give me better gas mileage. I have owned my 300C for just over 2 years now and have enjoyed it every minute. Only repairs have been the cheap plastic shift link (replaced with an aluminum one) and the windshield washer sprayers that broke. I replaced with 2 more I purchased on Amazon for just $15.00. I don’t drive it in winter being that it is just the RWD and not AWD. I am hoping as a result thanks to the Daimler (Mercedes) influence I may have many more years of worry free driving.

2005 Chrysler 300C
I enjoyed this car while I had it. I'd prefer the performance of an SRT8, but wouldn't want to own one as a daily driver. It was comfortable, reliable, enough power with the 5.7. (with a chip). I would definitely consider buying another.

The good and the bad
The 5.7 engine will last 250000 miles the Mercedes tranny is bullet proof the car does not rust mine after 190000 miles in north east weather the underside is clean and rust free. Shift interlock is junk with plastic parts and it will go, the front suspension is also a problem on these cars.

Biggest mistake I have ever made.
Plenty of room. But for a car that weighs so much I expected better quality. The hemi tick is annoying, awful gas mileage, the car does not retain value, the seats are not very comfortable, the sunroof is prone to leaking, no room under the hood to work on it, turtle shell steering wheel and accents is awful (they peel). These are junk.

great car
Bought new in 2005. Very comfortable. 27-28 mpg on interstates @ 70-75 mph. Have had to rework AC twice. Generally very reliable. Great acceleration. Fun to drive. Wish it had 4WD. Don’t drive in snow season in northern Illinois

Great car with a few quirks.
For years I have listened two friends and family complain about Chrysler products they break down all the time or they're just junk. This created a bias in me for many years until I said the xxxx with it I wanted a Chrysler 300 so I decided to buy a used 2005 300C I have owned this car for three years purchased it with a hundred fourteen thousand miles on the odometer and the only thing I have done to this car was replace a bad tie rod end change the oil put on new brake pads and rotors get a wheel alignment and have the transmission fluid flushed in the rear differential flush. I have not had a serious mechanical issue with this vehicle and this is my daily driver. This car perform so well that in 2018 I went and bought a brand new Chrysler 300s Hemi. So I have two Chrysler 300s. They Ride nice they're comfortable Rommie and a lot of trunk space. Equipped with the 5.7 liter Hemi V8 that produces 340 horsepower and 390 foot pounds of torque this thing has no problem getting out of its own way. Because the motor is equipped with the MDS function it allows the car to deactivate 4 cylinders to save on fuel economy I have averaged 21.5 miles to the gallon on this vehicle since owning it. Also by the way I forgot to mention I did do a full-blown tune up when I first bought it. there is no better bang for your buck if you're looking for your first 300 look no further than a used 2005 to 2006 or 2007 300C. Now the quirky parts when this vehicle was designed Chrysler was also owned by Mercedes so a lot of the original front suspension components are made from Mercedes parts or I should say sourced from Mercedes. so over time when I'm doing an oil change in routine maintenance I do check the upper and lower control arms to see if they have come loose which is a known issue with these vehicles but you'll be warned ahead of time even if you don't check cuz you'll start hearing a rattle. Now obviously it's been 14 years since this car was built and other companies have re-engineered the front suspension components so if you have to replace them which you will if you have the original parts from the manufacturer you will end up putting in better than OEM when you replace upper and lower control arms. But as far as the engine and transmission I have had no issues. Let it be known that 5.7 l Hemi engines from back in the 2005 through 2007 model year where known to have valve seat issues but this issue only arises if the engine has been overheated severely multiple times if it has you can expect to drop a valve seat which means you'll be replacing a motor. However if you maintain the car like I do make sure your thermostats functioning your coolant changed excetera excetera you will not have this problem. oh and FYI my air conditioning system still works and still blows ice cold and I haven't recharged it since I bought it.

Best car that I've ever owned!
I bought this car back in 2013. I've had very little trouble with it and have kept up on maintenance. In the 80,000 miles that I have put on it, only had trouble with the radiator and air conditioning. Very dependable vehicle and strong running with the Hemi V8 engine. Very spacious inside and rides like a cloud.

Most reliable and well-built car I have owned.
The 2005 300C AWD 5.7L Hemi was built during the time Daimler owned Chrysler. Motor Trends 2005 Car of The Year. Outside of routine maintenance I regard this make / model as one of the finest, durable examples of "Detroit Iron" to date.
