This page is lying to you dodge dart has Recalls
This car is junk i would never buy one ever again. Mine is a manual and it has been nothing but a problem for me, there is a recall for the brakes and the brake fluid shares with the clutch which seems like a very bad design all together because one system is having pressure issues and then it causes the other system to fail also. i am very mad that i can get no one to admit that the brake issues is the cause of my clutch holding no pressure. I cant even drive my car. there is a major transmission issue with this car and they shoudl just stop making it all together until they get it right.

My GT still runs and looks great
bought this brand new and 7 years later it still drives great. Had a few recalls and safety bulletins but nothing major. This car came loaded with everything but adaptive cruise control. One of my favorite cars ever.

I love this little misfit.
I had been eyeing a Dart since I first heard and read about them. My previous car was solid and reliable, but not as efficient as I needed. So in 2014 I started looking and found a 2013, new, still on the lot when the 2014s came out. I got a stellar price on a Dart SXT Rallye with the 1.4L Turbo (etc etc). It's been a solid little car. Predictable gas mileage. I've changed the oil every 5000 miles. No leaks. The suspension is a little tighter in the Rallye, but 1) I knew that going in and 2) it's still fine on long drives. The 1.4L is a toooouch underpowered for the weight of the car, but the Turbo makes up for it. I love the 6-speed dual dry clutch transmission. The interior isn't a work of art, but it's been easy to do work in. I like the look of it, it drives and handles well both on normal daily boring driving and the occasional moment I need to avoid something in an emergency or just want to have a little GOTTAGOFAST. Minor cons: the passenger visor arm busted on me and fell off. It shorted into the ceiling and popped a fuse, killing my interior lights. I replaced the visor and the fuse, it's all back up and running now. The white racing details on the driver's seat have all but rubbed off, sadly. I know my experience isn't universal, but if you don't treat it like garbage, the Dart is an alright little car. I love mine.

Looks can be deceiving
I financed this car through a used car lot. I fell in love with it. I loved everything about it the look style space comfort truly my dream car. 2 weeks in the check engine light came on. I took it back to the car lot i got it from and they said it was a gas cap issue and replaced the part. Everything was fine. I drive it to work and home which is 15 miles round trip. About a month later my check engine light comes on again and this time my digital screen says service transmission. I didn't even own my car for 2 months the rpms would rev real high when I was going 10-15 miles an hour. Or I would be trying to exclarate and it wouldn't go into gear. Its an automatic. The used car place said they won't help me and to go to LKQ and buy a new tranny. There's nothing they can do. Ultimately I do love my dart... but I would not suggest buying one.

Costly coil packs/spark plug valve cover
car is wgat I was looking for a sporty gas sipper. However the routine engine service indicator for upwards of 75000 miles or so is a tad pricey with sparkplugs only available from dodge dealers at 43 dollars each plus the coil packs and valve cover replacement this service is upwards of $1300 dollars

Piece of xxxx
Although it was sold as it, the dealership could have been more honest with the condition the car was in. We were ok with the esthetics of the car, however the car overall is a piece of xxxx.

Decent looking vehicle
I had every option and there were some issues... Performance was downright awful with the turbo, the remote start was fine in winter, however, in Texas summer when you wish it to pre-cool, the a/c would not fully engage until the driver is in the car with the key, the navigation screen was angled poorly so any sun coming in the moonroof made viewing it impossible, and trips of any length were horribly uncomfortable (I sold it because it was brutal on my back). Otherwise, the car looked great and the gas mileage was good.
