Most dependable vehicle I have ever owned

I purchased my truck in 2005, had 92,000 miles on it. Still driving it today with 253,000 miles on it. Doesn't use any oil between changes. I have all the scheduled maintenance done when it's time. I live in Arkansas, wouldn't be afraid to get in my Dodge and drive to New York in it. The only complaint I have is that the dash is starting to crack really back and pieces of it is falling out. I love this truck!

DODGE; 7yrs now, inherited

I was happy to even receive this truck, been a Chevy man all my life, built 6 lowered "cowboy" chevys, influenced by Ca. Lowriders.. Now this dodge, I drive like my chevys, mph barely under limit. Shift my column, due to overdrive extending at 40mph. 20 below, heater suks, location even worse. 3inch lift over stock, emerald paint, "24k gold-matte" stock rims, 32",,,,and less than 140,000 on her. 99,k bought 7 yrs ago. Wouldn't want it any other way, 32 below, starting battery must be leas than yr. 2yrs is mine, and needed jump at 24 below, tranny stock, change shifting modulator, 20 min job, saved $650.00,

Great trucks

Easy to work on, reliable, fun to drive. Most of these bad boys can run forever if you keep up with the maintenance. 162k miles and still running strong.

Ol'98

Got this used for a decent price. Had to replace the dash, fuel pump, ball joints and pittman arm. Replace the stock radio with aftermarket and the usual tires, oil, and such. It does eat gas but I love the 8 foot bed and roomy interior. Handles any hauling task and is capable of about 15 mpg on the highway. I really like it.

Tough and strong truck, very capable.

Recently bought the truck to haul logs and snowplow and it more than handled the tasks. It’s a lot of fun in the mud and straights too.

Owned since new

Had this truck rustproofed when new, has very little rust 21 years later. Had the trans rebuilt at 102000 miles. Engine has been solid, a 5.9 liter.

Amazing Truck!!!

I purchased my 1998 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 5.2 in 2015 with 15,000 miles on it. I still currently own this truck and use it mainly for having fun. It is the best truck I have owned including looks, comfort, reliability, and more. I have added customizations to this truck including lift kit, rims, tires, and more. I couldn't be happier the only down side I'd give it would be it could have more power for a 5.2L but it's not horrible.

It?s a truck

I bought this truck with 187k miles with the 5.9l gas v8 engine. The trans is a little inconsistent in performance but the engine does what it needs to do. It is annoying that I?m getting 6 mpg but hey, it?s a truck.

Very powerful and reliable

Good dependable truck. Lots of room in the bed and cab. Rare if any performance issues. 2WD and never stuck in snow or mud. Great bargain.
