2011 Dodge Ram 1500 consumer reviews

I was in the market for a new truck having put 187,000 miles on my '04 Nissan Titan. I had narrowed my decision down to either the 2011 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 with the Ecoboost, or a 2012 RAM 15000 Lone Star 4x4 with the Hemi. Neither had the NAV system, but they both had Bluetooth connectivy either through Sync or Uconnect. Exterior Design - RAM won Interior Design - RAM won with it's full console Electronics - Ford outclasses RAM with Sync. Engine - Tie. Hemi and 5.0 both sound great and have plenty of power. Ecoboost is also a beast, but too quiet for my taste. Ride Comfort - RAM. For a 4x4, this truck is as comfy as any truck I've ever driven. Overall, I'm really impressed with this truck. I've put over a 1,000 miles on it, and the only disppointment is with the Uconnect system and it's downloadable phonebook functionality. Overall grade A. Thanks Dodge!

Excellent feel of the road, powerful and smooth engine, very comfortable crew cab and front buckets. Love the look and the interior features. Excellent truck!

Love the truck, the Hemi is awesome give the truck the power it needs. I also have tow package, entertainment, navigation, chrome rims, 20" wheels, Sirius radio for 1 year, factory spray on bed liner. The only thing I put on here was the nerf bars and tonneau cover. Truck was awesome.... Dealership on LI did NO favors for me.

I used to have a Dodge Dakota, but my husband thought it was too small. So he talked me into a Ram. I was dubious at first because it seemed bulky, but it has grown on me. It's maneuverable, comfortable, not as much of a gas hog as I feared and really powerful.

This is the first Full size truck I have owned. I have had 2 Dakotas and a S-10 prior. After driving the Tundra, Silverrado, and F-150, I chose the Ram 1500. The power is really smooth and seems endless while towing. Interior noise was less than the Chevy and Ford. While it still feels loke a truck while going through ESS turns, the highway ride is unbeatable, it feels like a sedan at 70-75 mph.

I'm on Ram #2...My 1st Ram 1500 (2005)was my work horse...I towed and hauled everything from rock and dirt to kids and groceries....It did what everyone said it could do and more !!...My new Ram 1500 (2011) is a 4 wheel drive dream...The "True" crew cab is caverness with heat and AC ducts in the back for passenger comfort...Never cared for leather or sun roofs so I opted for the big horn addition with all the options I wanted....very comfortable/quiet ride..plenty of storage..plenty of power...all the towing accessories are first rate (hill assist,brake controler,full tow package) work better than any after market equipment ..and for the long hauls with out pulling a trailer , my mpg was 19.9 for a couple of very long trips...14.5 mpg around town...vroooom !!!!

I really like going sking . With my old 2007 hyundia elantra I had to rent a car just to to mammuth. With this Im plowing down the free way.

I've had all the big three in the past for checking oil and gas wells here in Alberta, and this is the only one that has held up. 145,000 km later and I'm on my third set of tires, second set of breaks, and had to replace an exhaust manifold gasket; THAT'S IT!!!

Short and sweet: This truck is hands down the most comfortable, fastest, most power, truck Ive ever had. Told the guy at the dealership I wasnt looking for a new truck. He took me over and showed me the basic package and I thought I was in the high dollar end truck. Nothing this truck doesnt have!! I would say if you have any doubt in your mind just go for it. I did and could not be happier!!
