Best car I ever owned for the money!!
This was a Escort diesel, I'm not sure how many years Ford marketed it, not too many!! I got it for a 100 mile daily commute to work and it was a great little car 47 mpg summer-45mpg winter, I put 160,000 miles on it and only did the routine maintinance, oil changes, tires, etc except for front brake pads when a brake line broke at 110,000 miles. A coworker said you can't go 110K w/o changing brake pads I pointed out that you can very easily if you only stop twice a day!! Always started even in below zero temps. WOW!!!
