2018 Ford Explorer consumer reviews

This is my first Explorer but it won't be my last. We chose the Sport model with the 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost engine and 4 wheel drive. This vehicle has everything we were looking in an SUV.

This SUV is smaller than any SUV I have ever owned. I am of average height and weight and it is difficult for me to get in and out of the SUV. It is low to the ground and there is little room between the steering wheel and the driver's seat making it a put your leg in and slide between the two process. Performance so far is good, I have had the SUV for one month. While it gets better gas mileage than my previous 8 cylinder, I find myself filling it just as often as the gas tank is smaller. Also I don't like and was not told at the time of purchase that the DVD player is single disc only. Bummer !! Lastly being low to the ground has me concerned in deep snow. Not sure about the clearance. As I checked I would recommend this SUV to a friend, I would but with the comments I made above.

This vehicle has not only heated seats air conditioned seats as well!!! Power seats dual sunroof and it will even read my text messages to me and answer the phone!!! Power start....etc etc WINNER!!!!

This car meets all my needs. I would recommend to all my friends and family, co-workers alike. Looking forward to taking it on the road for a long trip.

I love the look of the Explorer. It has great features for a good price. Love the dependability and comfort. I really enjoyed the navigation so I don?t need to use my phone

recommend to all who live in winter conditions. nimble, reliable, comfortable and great to drive in Summer conditions and winter conditions. Great car and no issues.

2018 XLT with leather, cruise and 3.5 L V6. Planned 3 day drive. Just finishing 10 hours on day 2. Very comfortable, getting 22 MPG. Super pleased with the heated steering wheel and seats. Plenty of room to pack for a 3 week trip and 2 adults. Ours has bucket 2nd row seats and 3rd row seating offering more options for extra passengers and/or packing when needed. Packing for 2 includes golf clubs, fishing poles and for any group, a cooler. Only concern for some may be a relatively small fuel tank for this spacious and comfortable of a vehicle...keep an eye on the fuel level when travelling long distances between stops.

This Explorer is more than I ever envisioned. Fantastic performance and extras make this one special. Love the Ruby Red metallic color too! Buy one!

We have only owned this vehicle for a few weeks but so far we are very pleased with our purchase. My only complaint & caution to other buyers is that the fuel tank is very small (70 litres I believe). Fuel economy is decent, but due to the tank size we are hitting the pump a lot more frequently. However, we love the interior, power & ride so much even if I would have known about this up front, I still would have bought this vehicle.
