I purchased the 2025 explorer platinum this is my 3rd
I purchased the 2025 explorer platinum this is my 3rd explorer platinum I ordered the car because I liked the ones that I have had and had very good luck with them with very little trouble and dealer was always very responsive and would get things fixed right away. Not the case this time. Ford did a refresh for 2025. while I like the interior refresh and exterior they deleated a lot of the equipment that made it a platinum. the stereo has been downgraded it says it’s the b&o 14 speaker but it does not compare to the b&o stereo in my 2021 that I traded. Ford has always been known for the keypad on Door I use it all the time they deleated that but I could still order it I did but it cost me 400 for the cost and installation. The new google based infotainment system is great when it works. If amine is familiar with the nightmare of windows ME this is a lot like it hangs up constantly have to do a hard reset. The fit and finish on the interior trim pieces are unfinished in many areas I definitely got a Friday built car. This is just the beginning. This is my 31 ford and my 12 new one. It will be my last Ford. The dealer in eagle river Wisconsin has completely ghosted me no response to emails phone call ect. So I am currently looking for a new dealer to use that will service new car. I would run the other way on the 2025 explorer platinum.

2025 Ford Explorer ST Line meh.
2025 Ford Explorer ST Line meh. The mpg is abysmal 16mpg average give me a V6 in that case. The 2.3t is not bogged down fairly peppy under load and makes delightful angry turbo 4 noises steering is not the worst for e-pass. Interior isn't terrible but not great the cloth seats suck my lower back hurt the entire drive even on soft, this is a 2 ton SUV not a hatchback. Infotainment is annoying being there is no tune knob for the radio very distracting and the vinyl on the steering wheel feels cheap and slippery meh get ST or regular 2.3t Explorer.

This Explorer replaces a 2017 I loved.
This Explorer replaces a 2017 I loved. That car is still in the family. The Platinum Edition is fabulous, lots of bells and whistles. I choose to turn off the lane management system. It is somewhat aggravating. The automatic on off at stoplights can be irritating when you have a lot of stoplights. I will turn this feature off when I’m in traffic at a lot of lights. Otherwise, I keep it on. There is a great deal of new technology on the vehicle which is located on the center screen. It was not hard to learn, and although I’ve had this vehicle for a month I’m still learning a few things. This vehicle is a six seater with heated and ventilated seats. The back windows have screens, which is great when your transporting little children and anyone else the seats also have an automatic fold. This car will move quickly great pick up and even with a new car around town, I’m getting 20 1/half miles per gallon on regular gas. Although being a six seater, it is not too big. I had looked at a jeep which ran a good $13,000 more for the same features. The new body style on the Jeep was not appealing to a family member so we stuck with the Ford.

This is my third Explorer…and this time I chose the Platinum edition. The exterior is about the same but with some very tasteful updates to the rear taillights and front grill. The interior is dramatically improved with a variety of materials used throughout. The larger touchscreen is easy to use. This is the first Android based platform and it is easy to use and worked seamlessly with Apple CarPlay. The Blue Cruise auto-driving feature is very impressive- and once you get over the hesitation of letting the car steer itself is very useful especially on long interstate trips. All in all this is the best Explorer I’ve had.
