A little choppy on dirt roads, feel the uneven paved
A little choppy on dirt roads, feel the uneven paved road surfaces. I attribute this to the 4X4 suspension. Excellent payload , 1865 lbs.for the non-turbo 3.3 liter which has been stellar performer in 35K miles. I average 24mpg all weather. Very good drive modes, sport kicks it up to V8 feel, shift on the fly seamless. Handles great with loads 1000 lbs. plus. Hot riding vinyl seats are sport like hugging you, difficult to turn around to look out the back window. I don't rely solely on back up camera because it does hide the corners where pedestrians are. Confining driving position barely allows for my 6 foot frame. Seats belong in a sports car, not a truck! I should have got the cloth seats! The cab lacks much space behind seats for a small cooler of water or duffel bag. The transmission was clunky in the first 4 months. I think it was the computer adjusting for driving habits. The 12" touch screen has many features and can be turned off. Integrated phone is easy set up, Personal music can be played or built in music apps. The maps are great showing satellite view and North South configuration based on direction view. Service often freezes when you get in valleys. The worst feature is vehicle manual on computer, takes 10x longer to find what you are looking for. Ask Ford to order a printed booklet! The instrument panel is well laid out however the steering wheel sometimes obstructs information. The tilt, telescope wheel is perfect for shorter drivers. There are many cluster views to choose from and two trip odometers, a big plus. I choose one layout for all driving. Took a long time to get used to where radio controls are as I was always turning down the blower motor switch. Blower motor has 8 speeds and whisper quiet up to 5. Also has an ac booster for quick cab cooling, heat, nice! The stereo has equalizer, 4 speakers and will blow out your ear drums unless you have deafness. I find the adjustments for instrument brightness, headlights, fog, and bed lights to be very awkward, An afterthought by Ford engineers? Placed at lower left below segregated instrument layout. Needs to be easily visible, not hidden from view and adjustment. The high beams light up the next county and 50 feet up the treeline. Not sure I need to see owls in the trees, but I can. The flash to pass feature needs to be more blinks, changing lanes that fast is dangerous. The windshield is large and raked offering a full road view and pillars don't obstruct the roadway. The rear view camera can be used while driving and shows tailgaters. The rear window has defrost, tint. The tint is great but defrost is imo a dumb idea. Window easily defrosts with heat or defogs with ac. This isn't a car! I chose Ford over competition because my last F150 gave me 400K, never left me stranded, had a great V6, super good tranny and decent fuel mileage. I like the payload, handling, maps and my music from my apps. I like the aluminum clad where my last steel truck started rusting everywhere. The weight is nimble feel while driving, almost sporty on twisty roadways with very good acceleration and quicker stopping. The cost of ownership is less than foreign and many domestic. I have no recalls in 2 years. I drive in snow often, the handling and my confidence level are excellent but I still have weight in the bed for traction since this is 700 lbs. lighter than my 2013. Overall, I like this vehicle very much and look forward to a new one, better designed or upgraded 2028.

I have 2 F150s.
I have 2 F150s. A 2013 with 286,000 miles and a 2017 with 152,000 miles. They both run perfect and they are very impressive vehicles. I owned a 1500 Z71 prior and that was basically junk.

First off, when someone says the truck drives and rides
First off, when someone says the truck drives and rides horrible, did they not know we are entitled to test drive the truck first before purchasing. I love my 2023 Ford F150 XLT crew/camper package 6.5' box so far. Put about 5000 miles on it. Purchased used with low mileage. It has all the bells and whistles except for leather seats. Rides great, quiet, and more technology than I'll probably ever use. Endless supply of power with the 3.5 engine and all around mileage about 18-20 and 22-23 on the highway. I liked my 2012 Lariat but mileage was 14.5 all around. I test drove a Dodge and Chevy, but I like the feel of the Ford truck with Dodge a very close second. Chevy feels like the frame is weak and flexes over bumps.

I bought my 2023 F-150 new.
I bought my 2023 F-150 new. I regret buying this truck. I have never been so disappointed in a new vehicle. The truck rides and drives horrible. Extremely uncomfortable. I am ready to get out of the truck after about 15 minutes of driving. The leather covered seats are hard and have no cushion or support. The back of the seat is wide and flat with no side bolsters to support you. The lumbar is ineffective and hits you above your lumbar region. You can feel the steel bars in the seat frame because of the lack of cushion in the seat. The gas pedal vibrates and buzzes and the oversized steering wheel is loose and shakes while driving. The truck is new, but it feels like the front end is already worn out. There is nothing sporty about this truck, I feel like I am driving a bus. I will never buy another F-150! Most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever owned.

This truck is a year old and has been at the dealer
This truck is a year old and has been at the dealer several times with multiple issues. the latest being a catalytic converter problem. The dealer has to replace this part. The only good experience is the dealer where I took my truck is amazing, especially my service advisor Ammy.

F150 is junk
The quality issues are to long to list. Do not buy a ford. I have a lemon and dealership are no help. I guess the 4 wd engaging on its own while driving is normal. Never own another ford

Disappointed owner!
Very disappointed! Bought new XLT F-150 in October 2023. A month later with only 1000 miles on it began having IWE problems. It has spent a month of the last 4 months in the shop and still isn't repaired. Replaced the IWE twice and IWE ring gear and wheel bearing gear once. The loaner truck I was given has the same issue. After looking at different forums it obvious that this is common problem on XLT and lower trims. Still fighting with ford for a buyback.

Don’t be eve
2022 Roush f150 lariat base. This is an absolute no brainer - do not fall for the good looks of this truck. Trust me - this is $65k truck that they’re charging $90+k for. The exterior is gorgeous. It stops there. The Roush active exhaust is garbage. The only time you KNOW you have an aftermarket exhaust is during a cold start - so there’s really never a reason to use the active button - because it’s very tame. The Roush seats are nice, but wear very quickly. I have 12k miles and treat my truck like a princess and the seats show significant wear. Laughably, this does not come with a super charger (that’s right - $90k for an appearance package!!!! So even if you look cool, you’re still driving around in a sluggish 5.0 Every day that passes, I fully regret trading my 2019 Sierra Denali 1500 with the 6.2 and the gmc performance upgrades. Better exhaust, better looking, better stereo, significantly more power - on and on. Just don’t.

Only Truck for me
My only dilemma in purchasing a new F-150 is having to give up my old F-150. I am driving a 2011 5.0 Platinum with 203,000 miles. It has been an awesome truck. All the luxury, comfort, and style I desire coupled with the practicality of a utility vehicle. I am disappointed that Ford has discontinued the Coyote V8 in the ‘24 Platinum and King Ranch trim levels. Hopefully the Ecoboost and Powerboost will be as reliable as the Coyote. Alternatively, I can find a ‘23 with a V-8.
