Many issues
Since I have had this car it has never been smooth driving. The acceleration jolts you forward and is unreliable. I never feel fully safe while driving this.

Ford sold them knowing the transmission are junk..
Transmission shift problems and valve cover leakage. The cars are very unsafe not knowing they could break down anywhere on the highway. Ford knew the transmission were junk.

Great little commuter
Great milage, great look, and pretty fun/responsive drive from a economic engine. Hatchback could have been larger, but it served me well for hauling things around town- it was the perfect commuter. Besides, the Candy blue is an excellent color :D

Nice small car to drive, but has quality issues
I bought my Fiesta SE hatchback used in 2017 with 17,000 miles. Currently has about 55,000 miles in April 2020. My car is a 5 speed manual, NOT the horrible Powershift automatic that is currently costing Ford big money via a recently settled class action lawsuit. If you are considering buying a Fiesta, I highly advise you do some research on this well documented problem with the automatic transmission (which is actually a "Dual-clutch" automated manual). That being said, the 5 speed manual shift models are not affected by this problem, so I have no direct experience with the automatic. Here are my experiences with this car: Engine/Drivetrain: Average power for a small car (120 horse), OK acceleration, feels faster than it is with the 5 speed, a bit noisy when you get on it, but pretty smooth and cruises nicely. Plus: it's a pretty simple, study little engine and easy to self-maintain if you're into that (I am). Mine uses absolutely no oil between changes, but I'm a 4000 mile interval guy - lots of stop-and-go and idling. Decent fuel economy for the class: I get about 28 to 30 mpg in city stop-and-go, and about 36 to 40 on the highway depending on speed. I have noticed that the fuel economy readout on the dash is optimistic, sometimes showing up to 3 or 4 mpg higher than the actual MPG. Some small cars can do better - it's no Prius for sure. Transmission shifts nice, although sometimes 1st can be a little balky. 5th is a little short for high speeds on the open road; a 6th gear would be nice. Clutch is nicely progressive and pedal feel is just right. Interior: I'm in my 50's and 6 foot 225 pounds with back and neck issues, so comfortable seats and driving position are priorities for me. For whatever it's worth, the Fiesta was easily the most comfortable to me out of the group of economy cars I test drove (Including the Toyota Yaris and Kia Forte). I have no complaints about control layout; it was a pretty easy learning curve for me after years of driving Toyotas. Forward and side vision is pretty good, but rear vision is hampered by a too-small rear window (there is no backup camera in my model). On the plus side, this car is QUIET for a small eco-hatch, at least when cruising. I've taken a couple of 500 plus mile trips at 75 to 80 mph and the car was pretty composed at that speed. It seems happiest around 60 to 65 mph. Negative - even with the hatch, there just isn't much room inside to haul stuff, plus the folding rear seats don't lie flat when down, taking up valuable space. In comparison, the Honda Fit feels much larger and more "efficient" inside. Ride/handling - the Fiesta has a very nice balance here. A slightly firm but compliant ride, and very nice, stable real-world handling. It does get rough over large bumps and potholes, but not overly so . My only complaint is a large turning radius for such a small car; a u-turn in a narrow street or alley will take a couple of tries. Reliablity: This is the big question mark. I've already mentioned the automatic transmission woes; my advice is, if you want a Fiesta, get one with a manual transmission, period. I've experienced several troubling issues. First: the brakes. While the brakes have plenty of stopping power, I have never owned a car that warps front brake rotors like this car. I even went so far as to order cross-drilled and slotted rotors for my last brake job; still warped within 15,000 miles, with plenty of telltale vibration and shake when stopping from highway speeds. Unacceptable. I've also had intermittent issues with the radio and SYNC voice recognition. Sometimes the audio will cut out, and then mysteriously come back on with a popping noise in the speakers, sometimes the radio will simply refuse to turn on, at all. One Ford dealer quoted me $1000 for a new radio; are you kidding me? Living with it for now, until I can find a reasonable aftermarket solution. Finally, an ominous, intermittent clunking has appeared recently, coming somewhere from the rear of the car. Probable suspension issues. Keep in mind, this is a 55,000 mile car that, while not exactly babied, has been fully maintained and never abused. The bottom line - I just don't have the confidence that this car will last as long as my previous Toyotas did. Verdict - I really wish I could recommend this car. It's a decent little car that appears to be a good value. But the reliability questions trouble me. Can't recommend.

Fun car
We got this car as a college car for our granddaughter. It has a 5 speed manual transmission and is a lot of fun to drive. We are delivering it this week end so have gotten to drive it for a couple of weeks. I'm going to hate giving it up. Even a grandpa gets to have some fun.

Great Car - Outstanding Value
What a fantastic entry level car this is. My 2015 Fiesta Titanium Hatchback with 5 speed manual transmission has 81,000 miles on it and I've loved every single mile. I regularly get 35 mpg in normal around town daily driving and 40 on the highway. The best thing about the car is the suspension upgrades from Ford Motorsport that were on the car when purchased new. Upgraded struts/shocks and springs, and 17 inch wheels with 215-45-17 high performance tires completes a transformation of this car which is simply AJ Styles "Phenomenal". The added stability and control is outstanding while maintaining more than acceptable levels of comfort. I live in the north Georgia mountains and my car just loves the mountain roads. I've had only one problem with it - a heating and cooling vent actuator in the dash started making a clicking noise. It was replaced under warranty. The heated leather seats are decent and I really like the ambient lighting feature. With upgraded speakers the Sony stereo system with SiriusXM is awesome. With the back seats folded down, cargo space is much bigger than expected. The manual transmission is a critical component of how wonderful this car is. The added control and the simplicity of the internals of the manual as opposed to the automatic make a huge difference. One last big plus - the oil filter and drain plug are easily accessible making changing your own oil something you CAN do. And regarding the upgrades from Ford Motorsport - the whole package cost around $2500. After having driven one for four years, folks, this is a no-brainer. VERY much worth every penny. So, run out and buy one while you still can. But good luck finding one with a manual transmission. When I bought mine, I had three must haves on my list. It had to be blue, Titanium trim, and manual transmission. In June of 2015, there were two in the country. By July, there was only one.
