Poor quality from hood to hitch
The good: head height and low rear entry. Pallets can fit when loaded with a forklift. That’s it. The bad: Transmission, battery location (under seat), rear sliding door, fuel door, tie down hook locations are tricky. Poor sheet metal throughout interior cabin. I own one of these for work, and working in the auto industry, we take excellent care of our vehicles. All service performed at Ford Dealerships when on the road, or local. It was great until 39,000 miles, then the problems came—3,000 miles AFTER the warranty expired! Transmission: needs a full replacement at 39,000 miles, according to the local dealership in Long Beach, CA. We do not tow with this vehicle, and DO NOT exceed the payload ratings—we rent box trucks for our heavy loads. Between 65-70mph in the California/ Arizona desert, the gauges and radio would turn off while driving!!! Vehicle would lose power on the freeway—only way to get it back is to engage the manual gear selector and put it in 4th gear, and drive at 55-60mph. Dealership says they don’t know whats going on, and cannot replicate the issue. *funny, because it happens to us every time we go over 65mph!* Sheet metal throughout the truck is awful. It’s a 250 Cargo truck—it should be able to withstand heavy loads, but the steel is so thin and flimsy that the sliding door is full of dents. It never closed correctly, so you have to apply pressure on the door as you close, to get the latch to engage. This has created a hand sized dent at the rear door. The battery location is under the seat. Good luck trying to jump-start your rig if you have a bad battery! Good luck trying to find it and replace it! especially if you use your truck for work, and have materials inside! The tie downs inside the cabin hold decently well, I think they used a t-55 and we have never had any issues. The frustrating part is the locations—especially where they meet the seat. If you have a tall person with the seat fully back, good luck trying to access your tie-down. Why bother putting one there if it’s not going to work with the seat? Now it’s in the way of other materials! It came out in 2015—before the federal law for back-up cameras. Their stereo head unit is built in such a way that you cannot put in an after-market back up camera and display like a dual-din unit. Why make it so difficult? Seats are adequate, flooring is adequate, although the cargo floor is not holding up (again, under 50k miles in 5 years). The greatest part about Ford, is that they circled the problem. If you buy a Transit, invest in a good pair of shoes because you'll be doing a lot of walking.

Biggest peice of junk.
Unreliable built with cheap parts that continually fail, faulty motor and transmission. Own a small business, totally disappointed in vehicle, keeps costing me out of pocket money and being left with no vehicle to run my business. Ford doesn't stand behind product. 😡

Far Superior to Econoline Models
This cargo van drives like a car not a truck; easy handling, far superior gas mileage to it's competitors. You won't be in the shop once a quarter or more like a Sprinter! It's Ford Tough! Just wish I could have had the CD player and the GPS at the same time.

Perfect Work Truck for Traveling
This truck is great, especially if you're doing a lot of driving! It's comfortable and has all the features that a normal car would, but it's a work truck!

A reliable workhorse
Our transportation company has operated this vehicle for the last 2 months. After driving for 6 hours non stop, the driver's sitting position could do with some little improvement especially left foot resting area. Cargo area not bad. Good engine performance even with sizeable weight.

NIce vehicle, big improvement over the older vans
Don't judge this vehicle by its looks before you drive it. This van is designed to work, handles like a car, roomy, quite and very well designed. If you have driven a older van and are expecting the same from these vehicles prepare for a shocking surprise. I personally didn't care for older vans and bought a Excursion instead. However after driving one of these vehicles I have changed my mind and will be seriously considering upgrading to a Transit in the near future. These handle better than my SUV, and the fuel mileage would be a huge improvement.

No Winter Tires Available
Nice van in good weather. No Winter/Snow tires available, drives terrible in snow. Got to wonder what Ford was thinking?
