Torque your lug nuts tight

The car is the best I have ever owned, traded in a 2016 Lexus ES350 Ultra and my G80 blows it away in ever category. I1 THING IVE LEARNED IS WHEEL LUG NUT TORQUE BEING 95 TO 100LBS IS VERY IMPORTANT WITH THIS CAR BEING 4,700 POUNDS PLUS. AND EACH RIM WITH TIRE IS ALMOST 30 POUNDS EACH. ONCE I TORQUED THE WHEELS TO 100LB WITH TORQUE WRENCH THE ROAD WANDER, BRAKE SHUDDER COMPLETELY WENT AWAY.

Good but not great

Both mirrors had to be replaced and the driver side camera. Driver seat bolster now has quit working at 23k miles. Probably won’t buy another Genesis and wait times are ridiculous for service when something needs to be fixed.

I really like my G80

I really like my G80 Genesis (no-turbo). I really appreciate all the new technology in the car that makes it a joy to drive. I have had the car for 13 months now with minor issues. It did take a while to get used to and familiar with all the new technology with my last car being a 2012 Sonata, which my wife and I also liked very much. And more wind noise that I expected at highway speeds, otherwise the G80 is fun to drive, roomy and well appointed. We really like the heated seats(both front & rear) and heated steering wheel especially during the cold weather in the Chicago area and the cooling in the seats during the hot summer days. We have had NO mechanical issues with the G80.

Quiet, Comfortable, Fast

I never expected to buy a Hyundai - but after researching Infiniti, Volvo and Genesis I settled on the G80. Infiniti and Nissan have fallen behind the pack in keeping their line-up fresh and I decided early against the Q50. I did like the Volvo S60 and had it not been for the larger interior space in the G80, I may have been driving that car. But, once I got behind the wheel of the G80 with the 3.3L turbo, I was sold. Also, the seating is very comfortable and the interior is quiet. I love the sound system as well. Included are a long list of convenience and safety features and the sport package adds an upgrade in styling to the exterior in my opinion. Add in all-wheel-drive and a price many thousands less than BMW and MB and the value is definitely there. Are there some annoyances with the car - yes. The color of the front bumper is a shade off from the rest of the car which is a random issue with the red that I bought. I've learned to live with it. It does have an annoying creak in the headliner, which as I research more I see that it may be related to the the glass roof. This I think is a problem I can solve on my own. I'd suspect any new car would come with something and if these are the 2 areas where this car has fallen short, I'd still buy it again. Add in a 5 year/60K mile bumper to bumper warranty and a 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty and I don't think you can go wrong.

Wobbly ride

My first impression of the 2019 Genesis was mid blowing. Being a 6ft 6 man the leg and head room in this car is very impressive. The let down for me has been with the ride. The car rides and feels as if your always driving on uneven roads. Between the speeds of 43-60 feels as if one or several of the tires or rims are out of balance or bent. The tires have been changed twice, road forced multiple times and after a couple days back to wobble and uneven ride. I've owned two Audis, Acura, three Nissans and a Chevrolet never have I experienced a ride so off like with this Genesis G80. Great technology and style just unimpressed with the ride.

Nice luxury car

Luxury at a reasonable price, with a 10 year warranty. Can’t get this luxury and performance (3.3L twin turbo) at this price any where else.

Genesis has vibration problem with G80 AWD 3.8L

Bought the car in June and from day one it had a vibration problem between 27-31 MPH. Corporate has had their engineers looking at the problem with no resolution. Ours is not the only one reported with the problem. Corp offered to buy it back with a trade up to a 2020 G80 AWD. We test drove one and it too had the same vibration issue. Genesis has a vibration problem with 2019-20 G80 AWD 3.8l but hasn't corrected it nor formally addressed it. If the NFL only knew!

Exc.ellent luxury vehicle

Extremely comfortable, pleasant to drive and great looking vehicle with easy to operate systems and devices. The 3 drive methods-normal, eco and sport are remarkably good.
