Lux car, tech in the dark ages

Luxurious car but the tech interface is a disaster (especially voice recognition, but also latency and general UI), and I bought the car only for the tech so I am disappointed.

You're paing $20K for stuff that doesn't work

Love the ride, performance, comfort, quietness. Dislike the complete lack of dealership support. Dislike the intermittent technology. Some of it actually dangerous to the owners, such as the Intelligent Cruise Control that will accelerate on it's own and much more dangerous brake hard on its own. Does Genesis know about it? Yes, they do. Will they fix it? Not so far. The other big issue I have is with the Infotainment System. Great feature if it worked all the time. It does not. Also Over The Air Updates...They never work. Mine got stuck and had to go to the dealer to fix. The next one (for GenesisPay) didn't work. Still doesn't. I understand now they are charging for OTA updates. $25/year for something that doesn't work. Not really a deal. So many features don't work or are intermittent it's a real shame. I'm 10 months in to my ownership and Genesis is buying mine back there are so many issues. My advice is to find a car manufacturer that spends a little more time on making the car right. After all, you paid for all those bells and whistles.

Great SUV

Bought a 3.5 six in May and it’s awesome. The driving assist has been a pleasant experience. Not one on every corner still a new kid on the block

Nice car but still lacking in comfort

The Genesis GV80 is a beautiful car. It is comfortable in the front seats but the back seat is terrible. Maybe okay for kids but not for adults. I sold it because I am getting older and have back issues and it was hard for me to get in and out of the car.

BEWARE!!!

Bought brand new GV80 Prestige 11/2021 pleasure driving only. Just reached 16k & now engine light is on, whole thing vibrates horribly when accelerating. This is August 15th & Sept.25th is first ava Apt to just diagnose. October if I need a loaner! Genesis corp says I can rent a car on my own & they might reimburse me once they get diagnostics back from dealership! DO NOT BUY-regretting this purchase - totally UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE!

Luxury with some shortcomings

Overpriced but definitely Superior comfort and exquisite styling. Some obvious shortcomings from a design and Engineering standpoint. One in particular that drives me crazy is the poor design and functionality of the gas cap area. I cannot believe a vehicle in 2023 with a price tag of around $80,000 does not have a locking mechanism on the gas cap cover and the fact that you have to push to open it from the outside, as well as the cheap feel and Design Within, is mind blowing and very disappointing

In love with this truck

All I can say is this car is beautiful. I purchased this car slightly used after upgrading my 09 genesis and have no regrets. It is smooth, packed with technology and features, unique and a head turner. Although Genesis is still fighting for its respect you will soon find out that this is just as good if not better than its rivals.

Better than my BMW!

My previous vehicle was a 2018 BMW X6 and I can honestly say that my new 2021 Genesis GV80 is by far a better value in every way that I can think of. The BMW had a sticker price more than $30,000 higher than the Genesis. What’s more, the GV80 is loaded with standard features, especially safety features, that were either not available or were pricey options on my BMW. Safety features like self-steering to keep me in my lane on the Highway, self-braking in an emergency, audible tone and corrective steering if I’m going into a lane when there’s a vehicle in my blind spot, cruise control that automatically adjusts speed with traffic flow even down to a complete stop - in cruise control mode!! So, yes, I love it and I think I’ll be a genesis guy from now on after owning 4 BMW’s in a row!!

This vehicle is awesome.

The wait is over and I’m finally the owner of the Genesis GV80. I have yet to be disappointed with ride, style, comfort and overall value.

The GV 80 is the Boss

I have owned two SRXs, XT5, Navigator, CT6, and CT5. The GV 80 out performs all of them. I have the middle trim (Advanced), AWD 2.5T, MSRP $60,545. I am very pleased with everything about it. It's a beauty and a winner.
