2026 Genesis GV80 consumer reviews

Test drove many cars. I had a BMW x6 nice car. Test drove Mercedes GLE 350 and Lexus GX 350h but great cars. Of course Lexus mpg is great. But the 2.5 Prestige Genesis ride is amazing. The amenities included are far more than others. Massage seats are a pleasure and very comfortable. Yes not a sports car but it’s still 300 hp. Plus 3 years free maintenance and the warranty is much better. I hope it keeps meeting my expectations.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the level of detail and comfort the Genesis GV80 Prestige provides. Even the third row is not completely cramped for older children. The insane amount of amenities and technology provided is mind boggling. The ride is extremely comfortable and the SUV is pretty quick for an SUV. The interior is top notch with soft leather and nice touches throughout. The warranty is unmatched in luxury vehicles. It is an 11 on a scale of 0-10.

Extremely Disappointing, Acceleration terrible, dangerous, service terrible. Depressing accelerator, merging into traffic, vehicle lost power in traffic, almost causing a serious accident. It bucks accelerating from idle. Dealer general manager said putting in sport mode alleviates the problem, drivers side cluster display randomly goes blank, black screen, no speedometer, critical gauges causing a known major safety recall. Genesis Customer Care (hung up on me, very rude) doesn’t know how to fix the problem in my vehicle, dealer/service advisor/mechanic at first didn’t know how to fix the problem until, “I” the customer doing the research how to fix the software problem, submitting the instruction documents to the dealer, only to be told they don’t have the tools to apply the software update. Still in Limbo, two weeks, waiting for the fix. A major mistake purchasing a Genesis. I don’t recommend buying a Genesis.

I decided on the 2026 Genesis GV80 after test driving a Cadillac Vistiq and Escalade IQ as well as a Lexus TX and found the comfort, quietness, and ride quality far netter in the Genesis. The only vehicle that came close to the GV80 was the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Caligraphy which I was trading in.
