Just an "Eh" sort of car.

I began driving this vehicle when I began driving over 40 minutes to school each way, due to my old truck not having cruise control. However, my parent's bought this car used from Tansky Toyota in Zanesville during the Summer of 2015, when it had 39k miles on the odometer. It is the SLE-1 trim, with FWD. It was okay for the first two years, but then the issues began. The major one was the Stabilitrak throwing hissy fits and throwing the car into limp mode. Granted, you just had to restart the vehicle for it to fix itself, however, we never did find out what caused it. It's been a relatively decent vehicle, however, fuel economy is defiantly on the poor side. There are a few little gremlins here and there, like my high speed wipers deciding to stop working, or the passenger side window switch rolling down the window, but refusing to roll it back up. The third row is very tight for teens and adults. I would know, because I have sat back there and it is TIGHT, and I'm only 5' 5" tall. The interior quality is laughable, as there is visible wear everywhere in the interior. Yes, it is a 10-year-old car, but you would assume the quality to be a little bit more durable. Overall, I love this car, and I've put almost 20k miles on it since I've began driving it, but I wouldn't suggest it to anyone who's looking for an SUV. Play it safe and just get a Honda or Toyota.

Terrible

Suspension sucks. Ruins tires yearly. Timing chain needs a recall!! Lots of rattles in the interior. Also, has really rough gear shifts. Recall on the timing chain!! Seems there are a lot of issues with that even on vehicles with low miles.

Poor quality junk engine

The gmc Acadia is comfortable and stylish but at 125000 miles the engine dropped a valve and need to have a replacement engine. We had a factory create engine installed at local GMC dealer. 3 years 6 months later with only 60000 miles on the new engine has jumped timing.

GMC Acadia

I fell in love with this vehicle. The comfort is alright. It’s very spacious. However, the “guts” if you will, are HORRIBLE! If you get one of these, be the first and only owner! Or do some serious research on the year you choose. That’s where my mistake was and I know it’s because I needed a vehicle for work.
