2016 GMC Terrain consumer reviews

I purchased my 2016 GMC Terrain SLT in 2018 as a gently used vehicle with only 21,000 miles on it. I never had issues with it. I kept it regularly serviced and had to replace tires. At now over 93,000 it has been a comfortable and very reliable car. The only feature I wished it had was rear air conditioning. Living here in the SE it gets hot and it takes a “minute” to get the back of the vehicle cooled down. However, I rarely have back seat passengers, and thankfully, the really hot weather lasts only a few months! I have been very pleased with this car and would recommend it to others. I traded it in a week ago for a larger car only because I need the room for a grandchild, and my elderly parents.

I owned the car for the months, head gasket was blown between heads and gasket. Still not running three months later. Timing belt stretched to the point of cutting a hole in cover. Would not recommend.

I bought this vehicle in a pinch & within 6 months I replaced my 1st engine, then within 4 more years I had to replace engine #2. After that it basically fell apart, I was constantly fixing something. Just reaffirms that fact that looks can be deceiving. Unless you wanna spend alot in repar bills i would not recommend this vehicle

LOVE< LOVE< LOVE< LOVE< LOVE< LOVE< everything about my SUV, wouldn't trade it for the all the money in the world, and trust me...The Dealers keep reaching out trying to get me to TRADE because it only has 54K miles on it. They always say it's because it's in great demand. I'm sure it is.

Satisfied with my vehicle. This vehicle is just right for my family of 5. The interior is really nice. I would recommend this car to anyone.

Infotainment system will periodically stop working and start again. It also has stopped and did not start again until the next day. Took vehicle in for repair and after a 2 ½ wait the Service Advisor told me that the mechanic could not determine what the problem is. He also told me that he couldn’t justify replacing the Infotainment system because it would cost the dealership.

This car meet all our needs needed more room for our grandkids & their car seats, this vehicle has plenty of room! Looking forward to getting it out on the highway & taking a road trip!

My wife loves this vehicle due to ride, size, visibility, safety features, style and more. She looks forward to years of space for the grandkids as well.

I am absolutely in love with this vehicle. It literally has every single thing I was looking for in a vehicle and drives so smooth!

This has been my dream car ever since I was growing up! When I started looking for cars I immediately started looking up GMC terrains since I already knew I wanted this, but since my city is small a lot of the cars pricing here are crazy high and unaffordable, so getting one was hard, but I was finally able to own my first GMC Terrain, and I am loving everything! Driving the car feels so much smooth, and extremely comfortable! I already know going on trips will be easy enough and the gas mileage is pretty decent as well!
